Textile designer Opening and Vacancy

Have a flair for designing? Love the feel of a fabric? Wait no more, just have a look at the responsibilities of a textile designer and apply right away. As a textile designer, a candidate should be capable of coming up with inventive ideas and developing commercially attractive designs and prints for a host of fabrics, clothing as well as non-clothing materials, furnishing materials, industrial fabrics and other related materials, using not just natural but also man-made fibers. If you are interested in research and development, you could even look at developing materials for speciality environments such as defense, aviation, space and more. As part of a textile designer’s job, you will be required to liaise with customers apart from some other professionals who work in buying, marketing, fashion design, and manufacturing roles. You’ll be required to understand client briefs, develop new designs, conduct research, use software applications, visualize concepts, and create samples. As a textile designer, quality assurance and testing should also be your forte. Knowing the latest design trends and industry developments will be an added advantage for the candidate. And if you can manage to build a network of clients and collaborators, you will be able to do extremely well in the profession and carve a niche for yourself as a textile designer.
