Operations Executives are required in all businesses creating a vast scope of jobs for candidates aspiring to begin a career in this field. Operations Executives are mostly hired by financial institutes, IT companies, hospitals, media houses, manufacturing industries, small & large businesses, publishing firms, catering firms, sales & marketing firms, IT firms, consultancies, BPOs, hotels, so on & so forth. The Operations Executive may report into various roles such as the facilities manager, chief financial officer or chief operations officer, but usually has direct access to senior management. Operations executives form and implement operational strategies to ensure the organization meets its ultimate goals and operates successfully. Operation executives support top executives, and also the owner or board of directors and may be responsible for the smooth operations of any business. Professionals doing an operations executive job are largely responsible for the entire operations and may look after the maintenance of equipment and facilities. They ensure proper operations function to promote growth, achieve goals and meet financial objectives. A bachelor's degree is usually the minimum educational requirement for operation executive positions, however some employers prefer a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, supply chain management, business analytics or operation management, etc. Although specific skills vary depending on the industry type, a successful operation executive must possess excellent communication and leadership skills and decision-making skills.
