Designation: IT Helpdesk (Desktop Support)
Experience: 1 to 3 yrs
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with Help Desk and Network Operations staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.
Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems..
Works with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.
Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents (Hardware and Software) related to desktop and associated peripherals
Troubleshoot Network connectivity (LAN) issues
Installation of desktop and hardware like CD-ROM, soundcards, etc
Co-ordinate with vendors for support
Configuration of devices attached to laptops ( PDA)
Application support, Desk side for business applications
Should provide Remote support on Phone or through tool
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 2 yrs of experience as a Desktop Support.
