Role: Virtual Apps & Desktop Support Engineer
Work as second level escalation engineer for Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop.
You must have a strong foundation in core Citrix infrastructure technologies & good communication skills.
.Support Operations in resolving issues escalated by service desk or other L1 teams.
.Collaborate with Level 3 and above for technical guidance & resolutions.
.Shift handover & On-call support.
Desired Experience & Skills
  • Communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form.
  • At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in Citrix technologies
  • At least 2 years of experience with related services (GPO, AD).
  • Citrix XenApp 6.5 and 7.x
  • Understanding of App Layering
  • Citrix Patch Management and policies configuration
  • Knowledge in different Citrix technologies like XenApp, Xendesktop, Provisioning services, Access Gateway, Password manager, Netscalar, Secure Gateway and Web interface.
  • Knowledge of AD/DNS/DHCP/VMWare will be added advantage.
  • ITIL Knowledge (Incident /Request/ Problem /Change Management)
  • Good troubleshooting skills in Citrix printers, profiles, resource manager's thresholds, installation manager.
  • Knowledge on Windows Active Directory & Group policy
  • Knowledge on MCS or PVS or both
  • Able to work with the SMEs on major incidents and work towards understand the RCA.
  • Knowledge on Citrix WVD is preferable.
