VCDR is architected to work well with other VMware Cloud solutions, such as VMware Cloud on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for design, development, testing, delivery and support of crucial features and/or scalable tools and infrastructure for VMware Cloud Disaster Recovery and other related products.
  • You will work on the control path of VCDR DR and cloud storage SaaS products OR you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend physicaland virtual infrastructure that supports our CI/CD and Dev test environments
  • You will engage with various teams in VMware to collect requirements and implement them.
  • You will work closely with the VMware Cloud team to integrate new capabilities of the Cloud Platform.
  • You will participate in design and code reviews.

Skills:
  • Strong foundational knowledge indata structures, algorithmsand problem-solving skills.
  • Experience building distributed systems applications and/or tools and infrastructure.
  • Proficient with multi-threaded programming, memory, RPC, synchronization.
  • Experience dealing with scale, performance and concurrency issues
  • Good understanding of networking and application security concepts
  • Highly proficient inanobject-orientedprogramming languagelike Java, C++ orPython
  • Experience in building J2EE web applications with REST APIs.
  • Experience in Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud technologies.
  • Strong Linux system administration, debugging and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and a team player.

Bonus skills:
  • Hands-on experience in AWS or other cloud environments.
  • Experience in virtualized infrastructure and VMware ecosystem

Education and experience:
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, with 2 to 10 years of experience.
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, with 5-10 years of experience.
