JD KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: The main objective of the KAM is to manage a group of important clients (Key Accounts) in order to achieve designated targets through the implementation of appropriate and unique strategies for these key accounts.Has an important role to establish a close liaison with the key clients and keep them updated about Company’s capabilities and expertise.The criticality of this position is important to support management in decision making to grab upcoming business opportunities.The KAM plays a major strategic role by implementing sales strategies that lead to high client satisfaction, hence, building awareness and credibility with the key clients as well as senior account management. In conjunction with Head BD, the KAM also takes part in the strategic account planning process in which departmental financial targets, performance objectives, account management standards, and critical milestones over specific periods of time are decided.The KAM is tasked with defining the individual approach/strategy of the BD personnel to specific clients in order to create strong and lasting relationships.He/she is also responsible for assessing, clarifying, and validating the client’s needs on an ongoing basis, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that are up to the business’s standards. MARKET/EXTERNAL AWARENESS FOR BUSINESS GENERATIONThe KAM maintains knowledge and awareness of competing products/services, discount and pricing structures, and overall strengths and weaknesses in order to determine how best to service and motivate key accounts to stay with the business.The KAM is tasked with the maintenance of knowledge within the account management department. This is knowledge on the best practices, market trends, consumer trends, and the competitive environment. He/she achieves this through regularly attending training sessions, for example, on new trending solutions and technologies. He/she also stays in tune with the business’s CRM tool and techniques that come in handy when managing consumers and more so the challenging ones. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT WITH KEY CLIENTSKAM has to manage a group of important clients (Key Accounts) in order to achieve designated targets through the implementation of appropriate and unique strategies for these key accounts.The KAM regularly follows up with customers regarding orders and timely collections of the business’s products in order to obtain feedback on their level of satisfaction and note areas of sales performance improvement. In this position, the KAM leads solution development for the identified improvement areas, in coordination with Head BD. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT/ ANALYTICSNegotiate & finalize the technical, tactical, financial and legal aspects with the support of legal & contract department to successfully draft contracts favorable to DEL and according to legal requirementsThe KAM also plays an analytical role, in which he has to strongly liaison with the I/C proposal to review the detailed proposals/quotes depending on each client’s requirements. And also have a significant input in preparing commercial proposal. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Ensure the effective achievement of Proposals objectives through the strong leadership by – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the section. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Internal:Regular interaction with Division President for necessary guidance and consent.Ongoing communication with Corporate Strategy Department: Discuss matters of strategic nature and seek advice on policies and guidelines.Close coordination with Head Operations to understand current and future workload and information sharing regarding the project progress.Ongoing communication with other departments.Close coordination with the reporting team for task delegation, advice, guidance, seek progress reportsExternal:Ongoing communication with clients for proposals, bid and work specifications related issuesCoordinate with various agencies and consortium partners to understand the market JOB SPECIFICATION:Minimum Qualification:Bachelor of Engineering & Master’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Communications, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management or Business AdministrationMinimum Experience:The ideal candidate for this position must have had a minimum of 12 - 18 years of experience in a Project Marketing or Project Sales position, in the account management department preferably in UAE.Arabic speaking will be first preferenceA suitable candidate for the position will also have amassed substantial expertise in CRM and demonstrated a great deal of sales experience, possessing an ability to drive project sales and having met and even exceed business targets.Key Skills:Knowledge of the region’s business dynamicsKnowledge of contract managementGood knowledge of legal regulationsAdvanced level knowledge of Manufacturing Industry practicesKnowledge of macroeconomic factors at local and international levelKnowledge of technology trendsKnowledge of auditing & investigating the bidsKnowledge of Competitors activitiesKnow-how of Engineering/Construction business practices & capabilitiesBasic knowledge of financial management and taxationKnowledge of project management principles and practicesGood business acumen and understanding of commercial aspectsDetailed knowledge of market/industry trends within Engineering contextAnalytical ThinkingCustomer RelationsTeam/People ManagementChange LeadershipNegotiation skills
