Job Responsibilities

The facilities surveillance engineering position will support facilities surveillance of upstream production assets across the globe and should be able to deliver the below tasks:
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of upstream process systems
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to build surveillance plans and review findings
  • Perform real-time process surveillance monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting and reporting
  • Coordinate with asset staff (engineering, operations, maintenance) inclusive of participation in meetings, planning initiatives, and following progress
  • Use analytical tools for data driven analysis for enhanced visualization and identification of actionable insights
  • Assess, categorize and allocate downtime and perform facility mass balance
  • Identify, map and monitor facilities constraints
  • Mentor and guide early career engineers in process engineering

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university with minimum GPA 7.0/10 and above or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years work experience within the oil and gas industry (Upstream, Refining, or Petrochemical)
  • Experience in an Operations support / Technical Services role is preferred
  • Work experience as process engineer performing process monitoring and troubleshooting to support an onshore or offshore oil and gas facility, refinery or petrochemical units
  • Technical expertise in oil and gas process equipment design and operation
  • Experience with performing facility mass and energy balance
  • Strong analytical skills to identify facility key performance parameters and evaluate production system processes through design information and data analysis
  • Technical expertise in workflow execution for oil and gas facilities
  • Experience in root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures or process upsets
  • Experience with standard process modeling software (i.e., Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with data analytical/visualization tools like SEEQ, JMP, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
  • Strong organizational, planning/coordination, interface, and technical judgment skills.
