Job Description



The Role Responsibilities

  • Determine organization needs and identify system specifications

  • Analyse the needs of large systems and breaking them down into smaller manageable parts and ensure they are part of the approved Technology standards and framework

  • Plan and design the structure of technology systems, discuss these with the client

  • Communicate best practices, products and to stakeholders

  • Communicate system requirements to software designers and developers

  • Choose suitable software, hardware and suggest integration methods.

  • Oversee development and implementation of assigned programs and guide teammates

  • Carry out testing procedures to ensure systems are running smoothly

  • Ensure that systems satisfy quality standards and procedures

  • Work with stakeholders, SRE, interface team to resolve architectural issues and look to introduce stability and design

  • Generate and review metrics and introduce markers for platform and application performance review

  • Good knowledge in Jenkins CI/CD Vx-Pipeline

  • Good knowledge in configuration and automation tools like RunDeck and Ansible

  • Good knowledge in Micro service architecture and containerized platforms like Docker

  • Good knowledge in version and source controls tools like Git, GitHub, bitbucket etc.

  • Good understanding and implementation skills of monitoring tools like Alert manager, Grafana

  • Good knowledge in container orchestrated platforms like OpenShift, Kubernetes

  • Good knowledge in Kubernetes features, behaviour, resource management, administration, deployment and automation

  • Good knowledge in Linux platforms and its variants

  • Good knowledge in NGINX and other webservices

  • Good knowledge in code quality tools like SonarQube

  • Good knowledge in networking basics

  • Good knowledge in Agile tools using JIRA

  • Good documentation skills using confluence, gliffy etc.

  • Good understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure)

  • Good knowledge cloud services and its application (RDS, EFS, EKS)

  • Good knowledge in cloud infrastructure as a service, using Terraform scripting

  • Good knowledge of cloud security features, design and related policies

  • Strong knowledge communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Should have worked in Agile environment

  • Good knowledge in REST API framework and implementation

  • Should possess strong collaborative skills

  • Should be proactive and have strong leadership skills

  • Should have end to end understand of change management. Change controls producing artefacts

  • Should have good knowledge in Business continuity management and disaster recovery.

  • Multi-tasking and should have mind set for automation


Processes

  • Quick learner to organizational process wrt to people and delivery management

  • Organization specific Change management process

  • Ensure high project / delivery management standards

  • Own Production incident management on platforms to thoroughly support to SRE team

  • Own the entire platform wrt to both Build and Run

  • Maintain high risk management oriented process / standards

  • Ensure high test management standards on all deliverables

  • Ensure Organization level Architecture standards on the platforms and changes time to time


People and Talent
The ideal candidate needs a strong understanding of the scrum framework and be able to articulate scrum concepts and their value based on prior experience.

  • Leading and coaching the organization in its Agile adoption and promoting delivery of business value

  • Teach and Coach Agile practices and values within the organization

  • Influencing change that increases team performance at a sustainable pace

  • Create, build and promote an open, trustworthy environment to practice agile to ensure facilitating discussions, collaborative decision making and conflict resolution

  • Collaborate with the technical squads along with respective Product Owner to ensure backlogs are created, tracked and closed on time.

  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint & release planning, derive reasonable timelines along with the team members, organize demos, retrospectives and other related team meetings.

  • Tracking and reporting of all relevant team performance metrics via JIRA to ensure organizational transparency, including but not limited to team velocity, sprint & release status


Our Ideal Candidate

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good technical & delivery management skills along with team / people management to get high results

  • Good knowledge in Micro service architecture and framework patterns.

  • In-depth and hands-on (preferable) working knowledge on container lifecycle, container orchestration using Kubernetes / OpenShift

  • Good knowledge in container scalability and platform capacity

  • Good knowledge in stateless and stateful container architecture.

  • Awareness of development on multiple Languages / RDBMS / No-SQL (Java, Python, React / Angular, NodeJS, Oracle, Mongo etc). Should be able to provide high-level technical guidance where required

  • Ability to provide solution architecture - covering all facets such as - infra, security, deployment, data, Application Monitoring (ELK etc)

  • Good knowledge in container security and vulnerability solutions and workaround.

  • Good knowledge in Python packages and its utilities and framework like (DJANGO)

  • Good knowledge on the QA lifecycle (performance testing, integration testing) using testing automation tools junit etc.

  • Good knowledge REST API framework

  • Good knowledge in multi-threading and its implementation benefits and caveats

  • Good knowledge in improving and tuning code to improve executional efficiency

  • Foundational knowledge of AI/ML approaches, packages and implementation.

  • Good knowledge inter-container communication and traffic routing (creating ingress and egress routing)

  • Good knowledge in container queuing and queue like rabbitmq

  • Good knowledge in Cloud services best practices for AWS and its implementation patters

  • Good knowledge in CI/CD pipeline application and lifecycle

  • Should be able to work in an Agile environment practices and should be keen towards project delivery

  • Follow Agile concepts / processes and JIRA workflows
