Your field of responsibility
The position is strengthening the offshore team in mainly working as a key contributor towards the strategic technical architecture by driving and adopting technical standards and design principles. Supporting the project teams ensuring the project architecture is aligned to the target architecture state.
The responsibilities would include, but not limited to:
1. Evolving FSG Tech's target technical architecture that supports regulatory and FSG business drivers and aligns to both the FSG Tech's target architecture and the strategic vision of Infrastructure Architecture
. Partnering with key partners and SMEs from business, Change and IT to define target technical architecture, strategy and roadmaps. This includes defining target cloud architecture and multi-year implementation roadmap
. Work with the Central Architecture and Governance function to align the technical architecture direction with the overall strategy for the department (e.g. CFO Infrastructure Strategy)
. Cooperate with other (cross) functional architects, solution architects, domain architects and application architects in order to achieve a consistent and coordinated IT architecture
. Ensure IT infrastructure landscape converges towards target architecture
2. Drive definition and adoption of technical standards and design principles
. Evaluating new technologies and tooling, making recommendations and supporting decisions
. Raise awareness of and ensure compliance with Credit Suisse technical standards
. Define and maintain technical standards and design principles for the FSG Technology department
. Ensure alignment of FSG Tech's technical products with Credit Suisse technology standards, FSG Tech's principles and end of life strategy
. Partner with other architects in FSG Tech to agree and drive adoption of common designs, standards, approaches and principles, collect feedback and requirements, and agree priorities on technical initiatives
. Identify gaps with current CS technology standards and formulate a plan for addressing non-compliance
. Represent FSG Tech in technical advisory groups and similar forums to share expertise and to ensure FSG Tech's requirements are incorporated into reference architectures, future platforms and technology standards
3. Support FSG IT projects and Technical Design Governance
. Support administration of Technical Architecture Working Group
. Ensure technical designs (architecture and solutions) are aligned to target architecture and strategy
. Ensure all deviations to target design are captured in open design log and addressed through future initiatives
. Mobilize and lead focus groups as required to manage the resolution of open key technical design questions (including those identified in the strategy)
. Ensure all technical designs have received the necessary input from business, data and technical architecture leads
. Guide and coach solution and application architects to ensure the strategic goals are understood and achieved
. Evaluate the non-functional requirements proposed by change initiatives across the FSG Tech's Book of Work
. Review and sign-off the proposed technical designs by projects to ensure compliance with the overall infrastructure strategy
. Provide direction and mentorship on security architecture and system management architecture

Your skills and experience
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • MBA/PGDBM/CFA/B.Tech. with relevant certification like TOGAF
  • 14+ Years of relevant Technical Architecture experience within banking and financial services
  • Experience in defining the IT strategy and architecture for an area like finance technology, including migrating applications into cloud platforms
  • Strong communication skills in particular with reference to strategy & architecture
  • Specialist understanding of major technology trends
  • In-depth experience of operational data stores, analytics reporting DevOps, Cloud and Software as a Service experience
  • Experience in coordinating workshops and senior design forums
  • Experience of managing large IT portfolios in production including Non-functional requirements and change
  • Proficient current financial accounting and reporting software trends coupled with the ability to trans-late business and IT vision into impactful technology projects
  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture frameworks, and packages to link functional architecture strategy and technical architecture components
  • Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking who can work on own initiative and can deliver on time under pressure
