Job Description

Architecture, Design and Installation knowledge of the below products
o Cisco Unified Communications Manager o Cisco Unity/Unity Connection
o Cisco Unified Contact Center Express
o Unified Contact Center Enterprise
o H.323 and MGCP Gateways
o Session Border Controllers
o Quality of Service
Advanced troubleshooting skills to drill deep into complex issues
Ability to work under pressure to quickly restore system failures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven multi-tasking and time management skills
Experience with ITIL methodologies and using ITIL based platforms for Incident/Problem/Change and Release management
Video conferencing and Telepresence experience is a plus Roles and Responsibilities
Work with client business leads and end users to understand their communication and collaboration requirements
Co-relate communication requirements with the clients business strategy
Conduct discovery and assessment of existing telecommunications infrastructure (traditional PBX/VoIP/IP Telephony/UC etc.) and develop re-design/upgrade/remediation/optimization proposals to better align the Unified Communications infrastructure with the client business
Create Work Breakdown Structure to categorize new implementation/migration activities to the appropriate skillsets and level of effort
Develop cost estimates for implementation/migration projects
Develop detailed implementation/migration plans to migrate/setup new Unified Communication infrastructure with minimal impact to existing client business functions
Create detailed test plans to ensure quality assurance before cut-over
Conduct trainings and enable junior team members to independently handle activities that match their skillsets
Assist NOC team members to resolve critical business impacting incidents within the defined SLA timelines
Utilize Problem Management methodology to determine and resolve root cause of repeated incidents
Conduct technical/business impact assessment and create Request for Change (RFC) with relevant data points like business justification, estimated downtime, implementation plan, test plan, back-out plan etc.
Conduct periodic Telcom expense assessment and create proposals for a cost effective model by migrating from a distributed PRI/Analog Trunks towards a centralized SIP Trunk based model Conduct periodic voice quality audits and create recommendations for optimizing the Quality of Service (QoS) configurations on WAN links to accommodate the business collaboration requirements
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Voice or Collaboration track
VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) is a plus
Cisco Certified Network Professional Data Center (CCNP Data Center) or similar certifications on Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS) is a plus
