VMware's Worldwide Partner Operations & Data Services team manages nearly every company activity that touches our Partners. Our team act as a crucial connection between VMware and our partners and helps strengthen the relationship through excellence in service. Job Role and Responsibility
As a Team Lead of Partner Operations Team, we are looking for a qualified team leader to manage our team and provide effective guidance. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis. You will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, IT teams, and Data teams to deliver key transformation and automation data & analytics projects to support VMware's growing business. You are also expected to provide critical inputs to strategic and business partners to drive improvements and efficiencies and ensure that VMware is delivering overall superior service and support to our customers and partners.
You will be accountable for:
  • Communicate with our partners and internal business units to ensure positive experience in all interactions.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture and set clear team goals.
  • Organize, coordinate, and manage resources, time, and people to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Motivate the team to take ownership and deliver results in an accurate and timely manner. Build a world class culture, while enabling the teams objectives and supporting individual development opportunities. Responsible for Team appraisals, defining career paths & Talent Reviews with Leadership.
  • Adopt defined processes, quality standards, and best practices to manage projects develop an innovation mindset with the focus on continuous improvement on Partner programs.
  • Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts. Identify risk areas associated with project deliverable, or team and develop metrics to monitor the risks and report trends for the partners.
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments. Team effectively with others to meet goals and satisfy project objectives gets buy-in of stakeholders by developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Seek help within organization to consider appropriate data, intuition, ideas, and experience to make decisions and manage partner projects for the leadership team.

Required Skills:
  • 5-6 years of total work experience, preferably 2-3 years of proven work experience as a people leader.
  • Proven track record of exceptional leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills. In-depth knowledge of performance metrics.
  • People management:
    • Ability to attract, develop and retain the best talent
    • Proven ability to develop a team culture that fosters learning, team-work, work-life-balance and fun
  • Management:
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
    • Strong planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
