Market Job DescriptionSystem Operations Engineer
This roles includes Production Support- Central command & Platform Support under ITIL in challenging Production Environment of Critical Banking Applications. Accountability & responsibility over deliveries - Platform Upgrades / Migration, Automation & Instrumentation, Resiliency & Performance Improvement, Process Adherence & Improvement, Efficient Decision Making with Partnership / Stakeholder Management along with Incident/Problem/Service/Release Management with primary technologies such as MS SQL Server (2016/Higher), MSBI(SSIS), . UNIX, Oracle/SQL, scripting knowledge in Phyton/Shell Script with good experience in developing & troubleshooting complex stored Procedures, Functions, monitoring Logs in Control Centers. Handling MIM calls , engaging the respective Application support team and providing quick restorations.Job Responsibilities:
. Challenging Support Role
in L1 & L2 involving Production Support Central Command, Root Cause Analysis, Automation, Solution Proposals along with BAU Support
. Production & Platform support involves being on standby for providing 24x7 support & Responsible to maintain high availability of the systems & applications.
. Responsible for Change & Release Management & Be a gate keeper for making sure no releases issues by efficient review
. Support the most complex technical issues & initiatives (Upgrade/Tech Refresh) for large-scale applications/systems/DBs/other technical products/services. Development of technical support strategies & plans Automation & Instrumentation to enable efficiency in restoration & stability
. Works on complex problems, debugging & propose solutions where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of complex business problems.
. Work with Development & Infra Partners and Support team to provide solutions for the business in designing platform and development of test scripts by migration and tech refresh
. Evaluate SLA, identifies gaps, suggest changes to assure supporting SLAs. Performs complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations
. Problem Management identifying recurring/chronic issues & improvement areas & take initiative in implementing the innovative solution causing efficiency.
. Provides the ongoing operational support for the ETL platform & nightly batch jobs assuring application health & scheduled data loads / work around on time
Market Skills and Certifications
Ability to handle constantly changing priorities remain productive during slow times, be able to multi-task effectively during busy times
. Efficient communication with application stakeholders about application availability & platform updates including any application outages, issues, failures, availability delays etc
. Ready to work in Shift Hours that spans between 5 AM to 10:30 PM IST & should be ready to work on weekend.
Operational sustainment and reduce risks in the eco-system by aggressively pursuing safety and soundness type of actions not limited to vulnerability, patching, end of life and resiliency.
. Manage and coordinate Production change requests and release management.
. Manages continuous services improvements and drives innovation to ensure SLAs, KPIs and OLAs for the critical business processes, applications and partner interfacesEssential Qualifications:
- Good Hands on Service Now Tool
- Experience in Production/Application Support of Java/J2EE based applications on Unix Platform
- Dynamic Profession with min 4-5 Years of experience in technologies - MS SQL Server (2014 / 2016 / Higher Version), MSBI.
- Hands on experience on Linux/Windows, Powershell .
- Experience on Tools Preferably Autosys
- Experience with Observability/Monitoring technologies: Splunk, DataDog, Elastic Stack/ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, Cloudwatch
- Good exposure to ticketing tools like PAC2000, Service Now
- Good Experience in deployment tool like Jenkins, UCD, tools like GIT HUB, venafi Certificate Management , SVN.
- Exposure to any of the Middleware/Application Servers WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, JBoss etc
- Willing to work in shifts (16x7 models), Flexible working hours.
- Experience with Agile, Kanban, or Lean methodology.
- Intermediate Knowledge in scripting (Powershell/Phyton/Shell Scripting), Tableau tool.
- Microsoft Certification in MS SQL Server & MSBI is added advantage.
- Reporting Knowledge in MS EXCEL, Powerpoint.
