  • Handing and taking over supervisory reports shift wise (New admission, Discharges, Critical cases, Deliveries, surgeries, death, birth and all untoward incidents)
  • To check attendance %26amp; punctuality of the staff under their control.
  • To check deployment of manpower in the wards and departments and assigned shifts and job responsibility to various nurses
  • Routine check on job assignments and nursing care plans, ensure implementation.
  • Daily rounds wards/departments (visit new admissions, ill cases, and VIP%26rsquo;s spl. Procedure, pre and post operative cases etc%26hellip;)
  • To counter check nursing records and other related documents.
  • To assist in organizing essential materials and nursing appliances for daily use as well as for stock.
  • To guide and motivate staff to improve knowledge and skill in their performances
  • To create awareness in effective crisis management.
  • To hold group discussion to generate ideas and suggestions to improve infrastructure, work plans, creative thinking and positive attitude to render qualitative and professional care.
  • To help the coordination and cooperation among the staff and with the support departments.
  • To identify problematic areas and take preventive measures to solve the problems.
  • To orient new comers about the institution, department and the area they are working, rules and regulation in general.
  • To give in-service training to nurses.
  • To monitor the nurses and make sure that they are adhering to the hospital guidelines.
  • To ensure medicines and other essentials are always in full stock and readily available for use. Minimize wastages.
  • Resolve any issues with the nursing staff.
  • To take care of patient sometimes just like any other registered nurse during crisis.
  • To make sure that all patients in her ward gets the best care from the nurses.
  • Suggest improvement in nursing care.
  • To attend the %26ldquo;CODE BLUE%26rdquo; if any and assess the team members effectively.
  • To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives
  • To be aware of departments performance and objectives.
