This position is a multi-faceted role which operates as an extension of Engineering & Product Management, as well as traditional Tier 1-3 Technical Support duties with primary focus on new and emerging cloud services & products. This role will also take part in supporting the legacy Datrium DVX dHCI platform through the end of it's life.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participate in shift coverage and on-call rotations for Technical Support
- Act as focal point and technical leader for assigned escalations & designated critical sites
- Participate in the building, deployment, & monitoring of customer SaaS environments & services
- Identify, characterize, solve & recover from problems raised to Technical Services team
- Project Leadership for assigned special projects and/or duties, with weekly reporting cadence
- Assist and/or lead the development and implementation of relevant Best Practices & Process improvements
- Datacenter Storage & Networking (very strong)
- VMware ESXi skillset (very strong)
- Strong CRM skillset (Salesforce or similar)
- Basic work tools skillset (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Confluence, Jira, & Bugzilla)
- Python and/or PowerShell (strong)
- Linux skillset (strong)
- AWS (EC2, S3, RDS)
- VMware Cloud (SDDC, VMConAWS)
- File access protocols (NFS)
- Disaster Recovery & Backup/Replication (moderate to strong)
- Experienced working with remote teams (case hand-offs, collaboration, etc.)
