Job Role and Responsibility
As part of the modern applications platform R&D engineering team, opportunity to work on technology Kubernetes and work on Tanzu portfolio to help customers build, run and manage their most important applications. You will collaborate with Product Management and engineering teams to design, automate and implement scale & performance tests for Tanzu Suite and deliver easy use & high scalable product to market. You will need to investigate feature requirements that have been identified by product manager and work with engineering team to deliver Automation and test suite for the features with high quality in time.
Job Description
VMware Cloud Services Platform (CSP) is looking for an SDET to Automate Test suite, ensure the performance, uptime and build CICD for VMware's Cloud Services Platform to support VMware's SaaS product offerings. You will lead the compliance efforts with R&D Engineers as well as partner with various services to satisfy FedRAMP compliance needs.
You'll be part of a bright engineering team that has a culture of open communication, collaboration, and innovation. We are looking for engineers who have a strong self-directed work ethic and make it happen mindset.
You will participate in all phases of product, including gathering requirements/user stories, system architecture, the design/prototyping process, authoring specifications, implementation, and testing for features developed.
We believe in automating everything infrastructure as code - you'll automate. High availability of production systems and a highly visible and measurable environment are chief among our priorities which you will help us achieve.
Required skills
  • 4+ years of working experience in vSphere and Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS).
  • Should have knowledge on building vSphere or any other cloud environment. Basic understanding about resource, networking and storage knowledge.
  • Expert on the Scale and Performance tests, like Preparing Test planning, automating, executing and analyzing results.
  • Analyse functional requirements for the product understand customer use case scenarios and build the test suite.
  • Reproduce complex Customer problems and test customized releases to Customers.
  • Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good at building CICD pipeline.
  • Strong experience with Docker, K8, registry, build system etc.
  • Building automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
  • Having good knowledge of Git, TestNG, Performance tools, Cucumber and result dashboard.
  • Participate in bug triage activities manage bugs, drive the activities for the bug to get a closure
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering
