Job summary
Come build the future with us. What unites all Amazonians across teams and geographies is that we all strive to delight Customers and make their lives easier. Together we are building the future, one innovative product, service, and idea at a time.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the India Capacity Planning (Supply Chain Execution) team and build innovative solutions for our Seller Partners, Internal Customers (Operations team) as well as end Consumers, with the help of data driven critical thinking.

We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for:
Managing the lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact. Your programs may focus on a single process path in a critical business area or you may work more broadly, managing larger initiatives that span organizations or geographies in support of a significant business objective. You may also be responsible for the delivery of large and complex projects that are not tied to any program.

You are able to define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation. You understand the significant business problems in your program space, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind leadership decisions.

You provide a long-term perspective, context (past, current, and future) for business and technology (at a high level) choices. You partner with customers, internal/external teams, and/or engineering teams to determine what projects move forward and in what priority order. You use your judgment to question proposals and test assumptions (Q. Do we need to deliver this at all). You enlist senior individual contributors and leaders to ensure solutions scale (or will scale). You make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. deliverables). You create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria. You clearly communicate progress and outcomes. You oversee the gap between teams, processes, and systems. You help teams and/or your organization reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.). You are able to solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks). You demonstrate good judgment in how and when to escalate (without damaging relationships). You are data-driven. You regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility. You ensure your program stays aligned with organizational objectives.

You understand and share program-management best practices. You may be asked to use your knowledge to assess processes, program plans, and operational requirements. You work with teams to improve concurrent project delivery. You streamline and/or eliminate excess process. You influence teams to decouple from dependencies and eliminate problems that stifle innovation or cause user dissatisfaction. You are an excellent communicator. You write effective narratives (e.g., Amazon 6-pager, PR/FAQ, reporting, etc.) and present them effectively to directors and VPs. You routinely deliver the right things with limited guidance. When confronted with discordant views, you are able to find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path (build consensus). You actively recruit and develop others by mentoring in your organization and/or at your location. You provide constructive peer feedback and promotion assessments for lower level PMs.
Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or similar.
  • MBA in Operations / Supply Chain / Program management
  • 8+ years of experience from a fast-paced environment, preferably in Program Management, Consulting, Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a PM role, where the job required dealing with multiple teams and driving consensus to deliver results

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

  • Advanced experience of databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets and Visualization through Tableau

Working knowledge of data mining using SQL, ETL, data warehouse as well as Excel
