These responsibilities include some of the following. Data Quality (DQ) Analysis and Support Work with Business Data Owners and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to support analysis of create/update data quality rules, validate data standards defined, along with impact analysis and functional validation to support DQ rule/business rule implementation and MDM activities (create/update/delete/deactivate) Support by performing business impact analysis for any master data change requests, deletion requests, DQ rule/business rule requests Act a documentation approver along with Business Data Owners for SOP updates, DQ rule/business rule documents, data standard documents and reports as required Policy, Process, Metrics & Continuous Improvement Work with Data Governance Team to define policies and procedures for the day-by-day operational management of assigned data, including entering, storing, processing, validating and transmitting data to systems Work with Data Governance and Data Operations teams to monitor and adhere to the defined metrics (e.g. SLAs, quality, accessibility etc.) to ensure that systems are working properly and periodically report them to relevant stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement within the data domain by investigating and identifying opportunities for improving data management processes and their performances to support the delivery of Right First Time Data. Support assessing suspect or actual breaches or vulnerabilities related to data confidentiality, integrity and availability Support the definition of data quality metrics from a business point of view and facilitate their translation into technical rules, implementation and enforcement to set realistic data quality targets for data within the area of expertise Forum Participates in governance forums, acting as the representative on behalf of the data users in the domain to make sure data quality, standards and frameworks are fit for purpose and coordinate the resolution of data issues and escalations Data Catalogue Identify needs for updates to the master data (data model, new reference data, DQ rules etc), determine impact and business value of requests for changes to the Data model, working in liaison with Data Governance and Data Quality teams. Work with business experts to create and maintain business definitions of data assets and their relationships in the Business Glossary, by reviewing and approving business metadata creation/update/delete to ensure correct meaning of data is established Support the Data Owner in defining taxonomies and reference data (considering internal or external categories or standards) Compliance Under the direction of the Data Owner, liaise with Compliance team to ensure regulatory compliance for data We are looking for professionals with these skills to achieve our goals. The role requires prior experience in Finance, ideally with functional knowledge of one or more of the following domains with hand on experience with processes and systems that supports them: Procure to Pay (P2P) Order to Cash (O2C) Finance Record to Report (R&R) Treasury and Cash Management Tax, Integrated Financial Planning (IFP) Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Possess technical capability in SAP ERP, SAP IS (SAP Information Steward) and Qlik Extensive experience and knowledge of Data Management principles and concepts within a global company, preferably with experience and familiarity with consumer healthcare or consumer packaged goods. Passionate about data and has a desire to continuously develop data understanding Data SME within the finance data domain: understand the systems and processes, as well as how the data is used by the business (e.g. BI, reporting and analysis use cases) Evidence of working within cross-functional teams and providing business support for technical issues Analytical and problem-solving skills Able to engage with senior stakeholders, escalating where necessary and presenting clear and concise information Experience contributing to data governance forums, including compiling, and presenting monthly Data Quality reports Experience in coordinating any ad-hoc activities related to Data Quality issues Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience. 10+ Years of Total Experience Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Data Management principles and concepts along with good understanding of systems and processes are needed to support the business on technical issues and to identify and support data remediation and meet business stakeholder's expectation Experience in coordinating Data Quality activities, both recurring and ad-hoc, which is needed to resolve and/or update data fields within multiple systems to ensure uniformity and maintain an elevated quality of data across the whole MDM organisation *LI-GSK #GSK_TechConsumer Our goal is to be one of the world's most innovative, best performing and trusted healthcare companies.
