Amazon is shaping the future of digital video entertainment in India. We seek a content launch marketing leader who can help us scale miniTV - a new mobile first video, free ad-supported (AVOD) streaming service for Amazon in India. Over the next few months, we plan to launch a large number of exclusive shows and new content. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses, including: Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Echo, Alexa and Kindle. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded candidate who wants to work in a start-up like environment and is passionate about digital media and new customer experiences.
We are looking for a strategic, creative, and analytical leader who can ideate and drive end-to-end execution for marquee new content launches by miniTV. He/She will work with internal marketing teams, content creators and external agencies.
As a content launch marketing leader, you will work towards coming up with a viewership plan, work with research agency on demographics, what kind of campaign messaging we want to deliver, work with internal teams to finalize and execute plan, and work with monetization team to drive revenues. You are required to use empathy, logic and hard data to influence choices.
From a day to day perspective, you will:
. Ideate and prepare end-to-end marketing execution plan based on viewership goals that we want to drive for content slate finalized across genres.
. Work with research agency to arrive at demographic segment that the content will appeal to and what kind of messaging we want to deliver through the content
. Create a working backwards plan, map timelines and plan ahead for any delays or changes in launch plan
. Work closely with Ads sales / monetization team to drive sponsorship revenue, participate in pitches with brands / advertisers
. This role requires cross-functional co-ordination between various teams i.e. Social media, Digital marketing, PR, Content Aquistition, Content creators and digital agencies
. Write high quality documents to seek buy-in for investments, goals, targets and also share post-launch metrics and learnings
. Work with cross functional teams and share best practices
. Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
. Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal with stakeholders
. Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
. 5+ years of marketing experience
. Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
. 7+ years of marketing experience in brand building or digital marketing, and executing successful marketing campaigns
. Experience designing and executing online customer experiences
. Strong communication skills experience in coordinating teams and communicating to senior management
. Strong bias for action and ability to prioritize
. Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up feature and customer segment recommendations
. Aptitude for organization, flexibility and producing results in a fast paced environment
. MBA/Masters degree from a reputed college
. Prior experience in OTT space is preferred
