Job Description

Job Purpose (Job Summary): The candidate for this position will be part of the Bank Loan Services group and responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of global Bank Loans Services and the global projects. This individual will serve as an escalation point for operational challenges/issues in support of our business partners.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Ownership of daily reconciliation process and guidance to team members to ensure accuracy, timely resolution of discrepancies, and serves as escalation point for critical discrepancies (, aging)
  • Execution/oversight of all bank loan activity (interest rate resets, principal repayments, principal drawdowns, margin changes) in the Bank Loans systems including escalation to Agents and outside vendors for missing activity
  • Coordinate and escalate trade settlement of Primary & Secondary loan closings with external parties and internal (LSTA & LMA) to bring timely resolution to issues and highlight issues/trends with counterparties/Agents
  • Function as escalation point person in relation to issues and resolve problematic discrepancies with Custodians, Trustees, Agent Banks, and/or Counterparties
  • Administer WSO Data fax service and liaison with service provider to resolve notice issues
  • Daily, Monthly & Quarterly reporting to external and internal parties including reconciliations, cash flow projections, daily variance reports (negative positions, unsettled trades)
  • Ownership of monthly CLO Compliance reporting tie outs and resolve and address discrepancies related to par traded, S&P and Moody ratings, maturity date, spreads, etc.
  • Identify opportunities, plan, and coordinate projects including automation testing, upgrade testing, execute new efficiencies for processes
  • Document process requirements and update with changes/modifications based on business needs
  • Serve as mentor for the team including providing training and best practices

Working Conditions:
  • Normally works a gliding schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
  • Hours may include evenings and/or weekends

Work Experience / Knowledge:
  • 5+ years of work experience; 2-3 years within the Bank Loan asset class
  • An exceptional understanding of the security market, mutual fund operations, and
  • Excellent verbal, written, & analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; necessary to interact with auditors, counterparties, trustees, vendors, and clients as a strong resource for the Bank Loan asset class
  • Consistent commitment to detail-orientation and a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks to completion
  • Self-motivated, ability to multi-task and complete tasks upon assignment
  • Knowledge of Wall Street Office (WSO), ClearPar, and Everest is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is required
  • Understanding of computer languages (VBA, Python, SQL) is preferred
  • Familiarity with analytical software such as Tableau/Power BI
  • Knowledge of workflow automation tools and ability to quickly learn processes
  • Ability to grasp the full understanding of a task, analyze its effectiveness and efficiencies, and professionally instruct the necessary changes to re-engineer the process

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
MBA/PGDBM required with emphasis of Finance/Accounting/MIS preferred
