The Infrastructure team provides AWS and with the compute, network and data center capacity that are the foundations of the retail and cloud business. We are seeking a Sourcing Manager to manage Goods procurement and support Procurement Category Managers for services in the data center operations space.

As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing quotes, creation and processing of Purchase Requisitions aligned to pre-defined SLAs, support IPS-Procurement implementing sourcing strategies and collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to reduce risks and costs for Amazon. You will manage metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery. Additionally, you will drive results through the management of competitive bidding processes and analyze data and market trends in support of the category managers. You will also support the continuous improvement of global Procurement processes and tools.

The ideal candidate thinks long term, drives initiatives, and communicates appropriately and influences customers and suppliers at all levels. Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment you will be required to work autonomously taking full control and responsibility for achieving business objectives. Tools and resources change frequently so adaptability is critical. You will continuously look for better ways to manage your work. You should be flexible and adaptable to get into different operational roles within Infrastructure operations. To be successful in this role you have a sense of urgency to meet customer timelines the ability to prioritize workload exhibit an intense curiosity and learning drive succeed in a fast-paced environment engage and influence key stakeholders and have a high level of customer focus and business judgement. Also, you must have a demonstrated track record of working multiple projects and supporting their completion to meet business objectives. It will be critical to embrace and model Amazon's Leadership Principles and have an entrepreneurial spirit with a get it done mentality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Engage internal stakeholders to ensure minimum requirements to create a PR are met.
  • Manage new supplier onboarding process.
  • Manage RFx events and documentation.
  • Identify items and suppliers in scope for catalog management and drive adoption
  • Support suppliers with issue resolution across the P2P process.
  • Analyze supplier performance data and metrics to assist the development of Procurement category strategies.
  • Ensure you are knowledgeable about the supply market and supplier capabilities, technically and geographically.
  • Develop mechanisms and metrics to track supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Innovate within the procurement space, improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a Procurement organization performing vendor management, sourcing and procure to pay processes
  • 2+ years experience collecting data, reporting against key performance metrics and driving root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability as a Project Manager who can prioritize workload and manage complex projects within cost and schedule
  • Strong business judgement, instincts, and organizational skills
  • Experience collecting data, reporting against key performance metrics and driving root cause analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. This includes providing training to small and large audiences
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and Visio
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results
  • Some travel maybe required

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in procurement supply chain from a reputed University.
  • Demonstrated performance in prior role(s), with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience in data centers, engineering, an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company
  • Experience in improving Procurement systems and tools
  • Proven ability to deep dive and develop innovative ideas for process challenges
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • Strong business judgement, instincts, and organizational skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and SharePoint.
