HBS is a critical part of the HBT business in India and Rest of Asia. The core business includes solutions related to Fire, Security, Integrated Business Management in different verticals like everyday commercial, Premium commercial, Data centre, Pharma, Industrial, Pharma, Airports etc.
The Solution Consultant will report to the Chief Commercial Officer, India and ROA, and will be tasked for the entire India and ROA region. This person would help put together new and differentiated solutions by partnering with the global offering leaders and the local sales organization across India, ASEAN and Korea. S/He will provide thought leadership across the breadth of the vertical and enable the sales team to provide solutions consistent with Honeywell values.
This role will help HBT built a large portfolio of customers in their vertical by leading a 360 degree campaign around the topic.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Area of Responsibility & Key Activities/Elements
Strategic
.Bring in a differentiated understanding of the vertical through their experience and partner with the global offering and local sales team to establish a position in the market
.Build a thought leadership position in the space by providing a POV on the sector
.Understand the technology landscape and its application in the use case stack
.Help build a consultative selling approach for outcome-based selling
.Competition mapping by solution to bring in an understanding of the landscape
Operational
.Work closely with Sales, Business Development and Sourcing to get best price model for different solutions. Review pipelines for different verticals for different regions to understand the unique selling propositions across regions
.Have monthly review with sales team on win loss analysis, competition update.
.Work on quarterly AOP achievement
Finance-
.Understand operating costs of various technology options
.Track the sale price with respect to value created
.Work with operations to create profitable operations partner model
People-
.Build a thought leadership persona in the Honeywell ecosystem that people can look upto, be the idea factory
.Strong skillset on 'Influencing without authority'
.Drive a strong culture of performance management through coaching and developing team members
.Develop strategies on attracting and retaining Talent
.Leverage Strategic Planning Process (STRAP), Strategy Deployment Process (SDP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and HON performance & development cycle (HPD) to set & measure annual goals and objectives and performance outcome metrics
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Qualification/ Education level and/or relevant experience(s)-
Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred from a Tier 1 institution
12+ years of business experience in related field
Track record of outcome selling/consultative selling - management consulting experience a plus
Knowledge and skills-
  • Strong understanding of Honeywell as well as competition solutions
  • Ability to develop value differentiation with new solutions
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Managerial skills with emphasis on Change Management/Leadership, problem-solving, team building, and ability to persuade and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills involving communication skills - verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively to varied audiences Influential leadership capabilities
  • Self-motivated, able to perform role with minimal supervision
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work within and manage a cross-cultural / multi-country team to drive results

Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required)- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook. MS Project, Power Point
Willingness to travel
