About our Team
Our Research Data Platform team harvests data from Elsevier's manuscripts submission systems, transform and extract entities from the manuscripts. The consolidated data we produce enables transformation of the article publication process.
About the Role
As a Software Quality Test Engineer, you'll be a vital member of our squad driving best quality test practices forward. You will be enhancing quality aspects ensuring high-quality software delivery is achieved. You will be designing and implementing tests and effectively prioritizing test cases and workflow. You'll be a key part of the project's delivery and activities.
.Designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions
.Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinate testing activities
.Designing, developing and executing automation scripts using Python, BDD, Locust, Java etc
.Contributing to regression testing, sanity & smoke tests
.Coordinating with Development team to priorities, troubleshoot, and fix defects
.Delivering quick testing feedback in a Continuous Delivery and Agile working environment
.Demonstrate hands-on experience in Python/Java, BDD
.Experience with IDEs such as Intellij/PyCharm
.Experience using Jira & Confluence, Slack, Teams
.Be keen to work collaboratively in a team and be a good team player
