Description / Job Responsibilities

The Software Business Analyst is responsible for determining the requirements of a project or product, defining the ideal path that bridges the business problem and the technology solution, and communicating clearly to developers, QA testers and company managers. The BA will be responsible for conducting business and functionality impact analysis on current state and future state system architecture and business processes. One of the primary day-to-day functions will be working with other team members to determine the best way to implement product enhancements, improvements and/or corrections and then creating user stories and epics to document them for the developers. Candidate must also be willing to perform hands-on testing of PBI and bug tickets as well. The BA is involved in the full project life cycle and will work with an agile team to take requirements through design, development, QA and implementation.

• Define business and technical requirements based on business problems.
• Translate and simplify requirements for optimizing execution and outcomes.
• Elicit input from multiple stakeholders and integrate feedback to identify the optimal solution.
• Attend daily huddles with India and US team members and developers.
• Write high quality user stories explaining business problems and product concepts in a concise manner and input data into ticketing system (Microsoft TFS).
• Working as integral member of a Scrum team to identify and resolve issues.
• Familiarity with modern browsers and mobile devices.
• Contribute to maintaining an environment where continuous improvement of the development process is in focus and where everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible.
• Developing thorough and complete test plans when necessary.
• Use of requirements to drive the design or review of test cases and process change requests.


• Education: Bachelor’s (required)
• Business Analysis: 3 years (preferred)
• Experience working with an agile/scrum team
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company data
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Team player who shares problem-solving responsibilities with the team and offers creative responses to new challenges.
