The Social Media Developer shall help ensure organizational effectiveness by providing support for the organization's social media creative design, technical support, programming, content uploads, campaign strategy, online advertisement and daily trend reporting, and application management under the general supervision of the Project Manager.
b. Key Functional Areas of Responsibility
-Responsible for the coordination and implementation of development, advancements, technology upgrades, creativity to social media resources under the advisement of the Project Manager.
-Build Apps/Widgets on social media platforms as per the requirement
-Identify, analyze and provide resolutions to patterns and trends in constituent experience on social media channels and user experience.
-Creatively and proactively assist Project Manager in requests for information.
-Seek and drive opportunities for intersecting online community features with potential social media partners.
-Provides tracking and metrics to communicate channel activity to the Project Manager on all social media channels.
-Develop Social Media specific mobile apps.
-Manage and coordinate information within mobile applications.
-Responsible for the design and creation of all requested images from the social media team taking into consideration the requested look and feel of each image.
-Meet assigned deadlines for creative, app creation, tab creation, campaign requirements.
-Upload required content such as videos to all social media channels and other assets as assigned.
-Coordinate with team for integration and transfer of feeds to Hadoop.
-Any additional activity that may be found suitable and assigned to the team.
c. Professional Competencies
-Bachelors Degree with minimum 2 years similar work experience and
-Understanding of use of social media platforms by Government.
-Excellent verbal and written skills.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.
-Flexible and able to accept criticism, edits, and direction changes for messaging.
-Excellent computer and Internet skills
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office/MAC Systems/Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

-Knowledge and understanding of market trends relevant to the organization.
-Able to discern issues of importance to the organization and shift strategies as needed to address them.
-Analytical and able to suggest message or campaign changes and improvements to management for consideration.
