Job Description :
As Safety Validator you will participate in projects as the independent expert in validating the signaling system implementation against its requirements, in one or more projects. You provide an independent opinion on the suitability of the signaling system to satisfy its safety requirements and its fit for the intended use. This position requires working with the project from the start-up, regularly giving support and early judgements to guide the project state for a successful safety assessment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Identify the project specific validation activities and write the validation plan, applying methods and techniques according to company quality and safety procedures as well as the EN50126, EN50128 and EN50129 standards.Carry out safety audits, inspections and/or reviews on the overall project as appropriate in various phases of the design / development. Write audit reports to documents all non-conformities and deviations. Follow up the audit findings to achieve resolution and closure.
Write the validation report summarizing the system validation in the areas of functional behavior, performance, safety and reliability.
Validate development, test activities according to the V-Model
Judge the correctness, consistency and adequacy of project development plans
Judge the correctness, consistency and adequacy the system architecture and design requirements
Judge suitability of fulfillment of Safety Requirements
Judge the acceptance of verification planning, verification results, verification coverage, verification techniquesSupport and provide judgments in the project to external stake holders to ensure expected results of the system validation. You will be collaborating with safety stake holders such as customer safety managers, independent safety assessor, certification body and national safety approval authorityParticipate in the RCS Safety Network community, giving feedback for improving the internal company proceduresRequired Skills (Technical Competency):Bachelor degree or higher education in engineering or computer science
3 – 5 years of relevant experience
Functional Safety Standards (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129, EN61508, ISO 26262, IEC 61513, IEC 61511, IEC 61513)
Software Architecture, Development, Tests
Requirements Engineering
One or more typical Railway Operations as ERTMS/ETCS, LZB, PZB, ATB, SCMT, SHP ATC2, CBTC
Typical Railway Authorization Procedures TSI CCS, Common Safety Methods
Fluent in English
Well organized and structured, with the ability to work effectively against deadlines
Communication, negotiation and presentation skills
High degree of integrity and make decisions required by role’s responsibility
Capable of coordinating work within the project and handling conflict resolutions.
