Digital vertical which is part of the CIS Group, is recruiting R&D Software Development Engineer to build product and solution and delivering a value to the customers.
In HPE CIS, you will join a highly experienced R&D team using modern technologies and techniques thru agile methodologies to strengthen the current solution but also to be part of building the future of HPE, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency: sub-millisecond processing times, 99.999+% availability, high performance computing.

The candidate will ideally have good testing experience and subject matter knowledge to help deliver good quality complex business solutions in either Telecom Carrier Cloud, Network Function Virtualization Solutions and/or virtualization, cloud and Core Networking.
Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is a telecommunication service provider (CSP) business and architectural initiative to greatly reduce the capital and operational expenditure needed to build and operate telecommunications networks. The premise of NFV is that aggressive and systematic adoption of IT business models and open architectures based on IT technologies will achieve these goals
Analyzes customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan. Designs and develops written and/or visual product-related information - hard copy, web - (e.g., user/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into product, for a variety of audiences (end user, system administrators, internal support engineers, product developers, training developers). Codes, builds, compiles, and tests online information and/or sets-up, loads and tests systems hardware to create information deliverables and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development. As customer advocate, helps define/refine product requirements. Develops standards and style documents and templates, scripts, style sheets, and script and graphic libraries to ensure common look and feel. Interfaces with cross-functional areas as a member of the product development team, such as marketing, test, support, and manufacturing.
Education and Experience Required
  • Typically a First Level University degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science or related technical/communications field and a minimum of 8 years related experience or an Advanced University degree and 5 years experience or equivalent.
  • Understands concepts and develops in-depth working knowledge of products, applications and systems in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ability to deliver on multiple project technical requirements, schedules, and information formats.
  • Codes in HTML, DHTML, XML JavaScript or similar as required. May provide help systems that are integrated with software products that use proprietary coding methods.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Existing product family, or new product within a technology.
  • Should have working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands,
  • Be well versed with basic Linux commands
  • Have worked on technical documentation for a virtualization product
  • Be technically adept to read thru the technical content provided by the developers and execute the commands (bash/shell scripts, Ansible, Python) independently in a cloud environment

Good to have skills
  • Familiarity with container technologies, OpenStack, networking and storage is an added advantage
