Field Application Engineering Team at Marvell India is the first point of contact for customer engineering issues. A team of highly skilled trouble shooters, they are responsible to support customers integrating Marvell products, helping them during the entire product cycle from pre-sale evaluations to design, bring up, production and post production.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Driving and sustaining best-in-class technical support/engagements, and demonstrated success in helping technically to Win complex design opportunities.
  • Should be able to Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex customer reported issues in a timely manner.
  • Should strive to be a regional subject matter expert on Marvell Automotive Ethernet PHY/Switch and Networking Ethernet PHY offerings.
  • Interface with other regional/WW FAE Team members, engineering and product management to escalate and resolve issues.
  • Reviewing customer schematics and layout designs.
  • Replicate issues using customer configurations in a lab environment for issue investigations.
  • Assist Sales team to win key designs by clarifying hardware queries on Marvell Automotive and Networking products.
  • Support customer teams integrating Marvell products in their designs and assist them in board bring up.
  • Prepare and present technical demos and trainings for trade-shows and customers when necessary.
  • Author technical knowledge base articles for use by customers, other technical support personnel, and partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and or/Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5 - 12 years of related professional experience.
  • Prior experience in direct customer facing experience is a plus.
  • Experience with high speed board design, bring up and hands on experience on copper, optical PHY/Switch. Experience with Automotive ethernet products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet Networking Interfaces and MAC, PCS and Physical Layer implementations.
  • Must have had exposure to using lab equipment including high speed oscilloscopes,spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers and traffic generators.
  • Hands-on experience of EMC design theory, EMC product testing and debug is a plus.
  • Exposure to debugging interop issues of PHY with PHY, PHY with MAC is a plus.
  • Experience in SerDes and high speed interface protocols and standards including NRZ, PAM4 is a plus.
  • AVB/TSN/PTP/1588 experience is beneficial
  • Basic understanding of software code flow is desired. Exposure to C coding and python is a plus.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in technical customer engineering support role is desired.
