In this role
As Software Reliability Architect you will be responsible for creating software reliability framework and address system reliability through requirement planning, design reviews, data monitoring, fault tolerance, support tooling, capacity management and adoption of architecture patterns/practices within the IAP software team. You will pursue relentless identification and implementation of fault tolerance within a full stack of micro-service-oriented architecture ranging from low-level code resiliency to infrastructure availability. The goal will be to reduce the toil involved in maintaining the operational ecosystem, replacing manual processes with tooling and automation, and bringing overall reliability to all internal/external functionality of an enterprise ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contributing as a key member of new product development teams to ensure the reliability of new and modified IAP software delivery.
  • Responsible for guiding the new product development and sustaining change teams to meet product reliability goals.
  • Participates in the development of design specifications and verification test plans and reports.
  • Responsible for developing Reliability Plans for each development project, creating Reliability Growth Test Plans and Reports and tracking initial field reliability metrics.
  • Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely affect field reliability. Facilitate/Drive DFMEA and Safety Risk analysis.
  • Reliability modeling and prediction
  • Structured Problem solving techniques, e.g. Fault Tree, 5 Why, Problem/solution Definition

Skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 14+ years’ experience in a technical software role dealing with complex enterprise software landscapes (devops focused development)
  • .NET C# software development experience
  • Has worked with Agile methodologies
  • Working experience with SQL and NoSQL storage
  • Experience implementing RESTful service-oriented architectures with public APIs
  • Experience with web technologies such as: HTML / CSS / Javascript / JQuery / Angular / other front-end frameworks
  • Experience with third-party enterprise software integration & solutions
  • Experience in bringing performance improvement for the large scale Install base
  • Experience in performance tuning, instrumentation and architecture best patterns and practices
  • Experience with best in class application monitoring (APM) tooling
