Employee Experience - Employee Productivity divisionis looking for an experiencedSeniorSoftware EngineerLead to drive key aspects of the cross-Microsoft enterprise services transformation.SeniorSoftware Engineering Lead is a role encompassing multiple program deliveries, people management in a highly matrix organization,coaching andsenior talent, and identify and lead areas of investment in organization. This position is responsible for providing overall leadership to the team, setting direction for the team, ensuring all commitments are met and developing strong partnerships with other groups and disciplines globally, and drive organization initiatives. This person will lead a team comprising of highly passionate and talented individual contributors (IC) from the software engineering discipline.
  • Create clarity, generate energy and deliver the impact
  • Build, mentor, and lead a diverse high-performance team of Software Engineers
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Architects and stakeholders for workforce planning, demand planning and end-to-end service design
  • Ensure teams engineering strategy is aligned with organization goals and best practices are followed
  • Deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions in an agile methodology
  • Setting up engineering strategy for the team both from technical and business front
  • Ensuring that all programs are delivered with agreed upon business value, on time and highest quality
  • Ensuring that all features embody engineering best practices, efficient, scalable architecture, elegant design and high-quality implementation
  • Leading Design, Code reviews to ensure consistently high level of design and implementation
  • StrongLive Sitefocus and operational excellence
  • Architect and build mature service capabilities (telemetry & monitoring, self-healing and self-service, scalability etc.)
  • Ensuring compliance with Security, Accessibility, GDPR etc. and performance criteria
  • Lead the team in adopting relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes from Microsoft and industry.
  • Use data and insights from customer and production to contribute to some technical design and implementation decisions

should have a computer science or related degreebs or ms degree in computer science or related engineering discipline.
  • total of13+ years of demonstrated work experience in the information systems industry managing large applications portfolio.good to have: iot, digital transformation.
  • 7+ years of solid design/software engineering experience on large/complex applications using various technologies
  • 7+ years of experience in people manager role

technical skills / engineering practices:
  • excellent work experience with developing platforms, services, devops.
  • solid cloud implementation experience.
  • strong software engineering - design, development and testing experience.
  • good knowledge in c#, .net framework or comparable programming environmentsuch as java, python, sql, web development, and test methodologies.
  • good understanding of design / architectural patterns and automation platforms.
  • experience with agile development methodologies.
  • good knowledge on engineering best practices and risk management.

people management skills:
  • ability to motivate and influence team
  • ability to coach, groomteamand senior ic talent.
  • ability to lead, coach and provide leadership to staff on goals, objectives, and performance success criteria.
  • ability to manage high and low performers.
  • aligns team's commitments with organizational strategic direction
