Thomson Reuters is looking for aSenior SoftwareEngineer-UIto be part of a highly dynamic team developing our next generationGlobal Compliance Reportingapplications.
About the Role

  • Design and Develop- complex software applications while using best practices and software development methodologies in coordination with a distributed team contribute to all aspects of SDLC including design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation

  • Be a Team Player- work in a collaborative team-oriented environment, share information, value diverse ideas, partner with cross-functional and remote teams

  • Be Curious, Passionate & Innovative- leverage 'innovation time' to work on pet projects and special areas of interest reimagine our business for the customer's benefit and measure success by customer satisfaction

  • Be an Agile Person- with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment to deliver solutions against strict timelines

  • Be an Effective Communicator -articulate complex technical issues, and share ideas, participate in peer reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills

  • Be a Leader -lead code reviews, enforce code standards and provide constructive feedback to developers mentor technical resources on the team to reinforce best practices

  • Take Ownership- responsible for performance, reliability and implement changes for improving the efficiency of a technical component

About You
Basic qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of overall software development experience using different programming languages,.NET development experience preferred

  • 4+ years of frontend development experience with JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS/SASS

  • Proficiency with building responsive single page applications using Angular, React

  • Experience in developing/consuming REST APIs including tooling for documentation (Swagger/Postman)

  • Experience in developing data persistence systems using both SQL and NoSQL DBMS

  • SaaS-based software development experience on large to enterprise-class applications

  • Strong communication skills, including collaborating effectively and articulating complex technical concepts to stakeholders across the organization

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience

  • Understand object-oriented program design, algorithms, data structure, CS fundamentals, design patterns, and N-Tier architecture.

  • Familiarity with application security and Application Performance Management

  • Experience with automation testingtools - JMeter, Selenium,FitNesse, Cucumber

  • AWS Cloud development, certification is a plus

  • Familiarity with Data Science: Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
