Team Overview
The position in discussion is with the Audit team at KPMG Resource Centre Private Limited (KRCPL), which is KPMG%26rsquo;s global delivery center and is an integral part of the firm%26rsquo;s strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability, globally.
KRC Audit is a fast-growing team that is servicing KPMG%26rsquo;s European audit clients and few other countries. Majority of our work is for the UK audit practice, but we are also serving KPMG - Holland, Australia, Cayman Island, Channel Island and Bermuda. We are looking at ways of growing the number of countries we serve.
You will be part of a Financial Services audit team from UK geography which is outlined below.

Summary of role purpose
To support our business, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Manager to join our team and assist in providing audit services to KPMG UK via a department extension model, which enables and enhances the effectiveness and efficiency in client delivery. The structure consists of 330+ team members working for Financial Services audit team within the UK-KRC. Throughout the year, we provide services specific to the large audited entities in various sectors of Insurance, Banking and Asset Management.
Role Responsibilities
We are recruiting for a Senior Manager in the Audit team. Working as a Senior Manager in this team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working as part of central FS Leadership and supporting BU lead to meet central objectives, develop business and grow the team

  • Client Delivery %26ndash; Leading few audit engagements and providing an oversight role on them

  • Strategy, Innovation, quality and business support team oversight. Contribute and drive the development of strategic initiatives and vision on the audit of the future

  • Build and develop strong relationships with key onshore member firm stakeholders and act as a main point of contact for onshore departments involved

  • Continual action to increase penetration and identify new opportunities for growth

  • Act as the Performance Manager and lead the career development of staff members

  • Motivate, develop and coach Managers, Assistant Managers and Team Leaders to deliver quality and to become effective leaders

  • Maintain rigor around risk %26amp; compliance guidelines of the firm, and workout plans to mitigate business risks

  • Attract and retain the right talent to support the business growth agenda

  • Enable a culture of high performance and establish KGS Audit as the %26ldquo;clear choice%26rdquo; for people

  • Track key metrics related to type of work performed, quality of deliverables and feedback from onshore.

  • Develop and deliver training sessions based on the themes identified from onshore feedback and quality reviews. Work with L%26amp;D team to identify training needs


Job Requirements
Educational qualification and experience:

  • Professional Chartered Accountancy qualification (e.g. ICAI or ACCA).

  • 7+ years of experience with a Big 4 in a client facing environment working on Financial Services audits.


Required skills:

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP/FRS

  • Proven experience in the development and implementation of strategic growth plans

  • IT literacy with sound knowledge and experience of Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint

  • Willingness and demonstrated experience to quickly and effectively climb learning curves

  • Experience in managing and leading big teams

  • Strong executive presence and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to strategize and communicate effectively with partners/directors and clients

  • Ability to balance between strategic and operational job requirements

  • Stakeholder management and ability to influence in a global context

  • Demonstrate expertise and augment the brand through thought leadership

  • An inquisitive mind and a strong passion for developing people

  • Strong analytical bent of mind and structured problem-solving approach
