We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager, Insurance Analytics
. Build BI and reporting solutions to bring out patterns and trends from the data including Data warehousing, Data modeling, ETL, etc.
. Extract and transform data from appropriate sources in a complex warehousing environment via scripting in Access, SQL, Oracle, Teradata, IBM-DB2, etc.
. Combine data extracted from multiple sources into a unified data mart for consumption of predictive modelers/data scientists, data preparation automation, and analysis
. Create additional data attributes under guidance from data scientists /domain experts
. Support building of predictive model R / Python
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
. Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field
. Advanced working BI tool knowledge and experience working with Power BI/ Tableau / Qlik
. Data preparation using relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
. Experience building and optimizing ‘big data data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
. Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
. Good analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
. Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
. A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
. Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data data stores
. Good project management and organizational skills
. Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Preferred qualifications
. Relevant experience in a BI Reporting role
. Experience with BI tools: Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
. Experience with ETL tools: IBM data stage, Informatica, etc.
. Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra
. Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: VBA, Power Query, Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
. Experience with front-end UI development tools: Angular JS, Node JS, etc.
. Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
. Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift
