Eaton’s ESSG division is currently seeking a Sr HR Generalist to join our team. This position will be in Arden, NC. Relocation will be provided.
The primary function of the Senior H.R. Generalist will be to support the Human Resources Manager in the implementation and deployment of Human Resources policies, programs and initiatives.

Essential Functions:
  • support the site Human Resources Manager in deploying HR policies, programs and initiatives including but not limited to employment, compensation, employee relations, training, talent acquisition and development, work practices and employee selection to improve the site’s organization capability.
  • conduct, under the HRM supervision, investigations on employee relations matters.
  • support daily employee related activities and processes to promote positive employee relations.
  • conduct recruiting process including interviews and selection, insuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines, laws and goals set by the organization;
  • collaborate with HR Services on all transactional HR matters.
  • provide assistance and administrative support in the areas of employment processing, HRMS data entry, and recruiting requisition processing and ensure integrity in all HR systems with timely and accurate data entry and frequent audits.
  • conduct general or specific training sessions where needed based (i.e. AAP Overview, Merit Planning, etc.)
  • provide counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues.
  • work with supervisors/managers on effective handling of retention, performance management, and engagement strategies.
  • responsible for running and creating reports, analyzing information and providing data for the Human Resources Manager.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 2 years human resources experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA with HR focus or Masters of Human Resources preferred
  • PHR/SPHR Certification
  • Experience working for a manufacturing organization/environment

Position Criteria:
  • Responsible to support day-to-day personnel activities in accordance with legal, divisional and corporate guidelines
  • Provides data and reports to the Human Resources Managers to monitor the performance of HR key indicators, HR programs and initiatives allowing a data-based decision making process.
  • Knowledge of the interpretation of laws, regulations and standards, and enforcement agencies for equal employment opportunities, safety, wage and hour, unemployment, workers’ compensation and labor law.
  • Excellent communication and employee relations skills required
  • Excellent PC skills required: Microsoft Applications and Outlook
  • Coaching/Facilitation/Conflict Management skills
