ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES COVER ALL ASPECTS OF TECHNICAL DEVELOPERS, INCLUDING:
Technical:
  • Develops and maintains the Tableau reporting BI Models, for an Enterprise Finance Analytics environment
  • Provides technical and functional support. Also makes necessary changes in the data layer and creates/modifies the reports per user requirements
  • Monitors/manages the data loads/periodical maintenance processes
  • Assists in continuing improvements to the overall usability, scalability, reliability and performance of the data warehousing environment
  • Utilize Best Practice BI Implementation Practices

General:
  • Meet Development, Assignment & Project Deadlines
  • Work with Team Lead to Convert Technical Specifications into Reports or Components
  • Creation of Technical, Functional & System Specifications, Development, & Documentation
  • Ensure Delivery Quality
  • Liaise with Technology team, Data Support teams, Master Data team and Data Integration team
  • Compliance with Program Standards
  • Preparation of Weekly Project Updates for BI Lead and Capability Manager
  • Participate in Project Meetings, Team Workshops, and Team Trainings

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED SKILLS (MUST HAVE) & ASSOCIATED NUMBER OF YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 4 to 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining BI models & reports/dashboards in Tableau (strong skills required preferably with Tableau v2020.4.3)
  • Experience with popular databases such as Snowflake database, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle database, PostgreSQL, etc
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the scope of database design and database management
  • Experience with batch scripting and automation using Power Shell scripts and/or other scripting languages
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
  • Demonstrated skills building and managing a reporting environment
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science
  • Experience Developing BI Solutions for Financial or FP&A Departments
  • Pro-Active Customer Service attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective relationships
  • Team player with flexible attitude, resourcefulness, and initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with knowledgeable business analysts/managers to create specifications and verify designs
  • Well organized and results driven

DESIRED SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE IN ADDITION TO THE REQUIRED SKILL SETS) & ASSOCIATED NUMBER OF YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience on other BI tools such as ‘Power BI is big a plus
  • Experience in working with an Offshore Development Team
  • Experience Developing Global, Cross Divisional Projects
  • Understanding of Financial Processes (e.g. FP&A, Accounting/Controllership, etc.)
  • Understanding of financial systems, network, and firewall technology
  • Exposure to SAP, Oracle, SAS, Intel, Mainframe, SAN and Blade server technology
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and other LSEG offices, both inside and outside of India
