Forecasting Team Overview:
. We are a part of ABI's India Analytics COE located in Bangalore and we are looking for passionate Data Scientist to building our next generation forecasting Platform for Ab-Inbev
. As a part of forecasting team, we focus on delivering highly accurate forecasts for Beer Volume and P&L components at different level - National, Channel, Brand, SKU - to better equip markets in order to improve their decisions and optimize their actions
. We support business units across the globe in budget planning by analyzing / developing Industry / Brand / SKU Demand forecast models and finding actionable insights for them
. Manage and maintain large data sets to ensure high quality of data for analyses
. Engage with business partners at all levels of organization (Director / VP / CMO) and contribute in strategic planning of the organization in 1YP or 3YP
Key Responsibilities:
. Execute outstanding leadership skills in order to own results and improve existing process
. Collaboration with stakeholders to understand current business scenario, able to convert the business requirements into a technical solution and able to communicate the results of the solutions to the stakeholders
. Be an expert in field of data science to mentor junior members of the team in their project problems
. Collaboration with external vendors to ensure their service/product offering is used in right manner to develop the solution
. Recruit new talent in the team and nurture them
. Open for short/long term travel in order to understand the existing business process and transfer the knowledge to the team
Qualification Required:
. Degree in business analytics / data science / statistics / economics and / or degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science. Analytic management experience and / or leadership highly advantageous.
. Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years or Master's degree with minimum 4 years of Data Science experience from a recognized institute
Must have skills:
. Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and working knowledge of machine learning techniques is very critical for success in this role
. Excellent relationship management skills with senior stakeholders is paramount
. Ability to impact and influence at a senior stakeholder level virtually across markets with solid networking, influencing & communication skills
. Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting analytics and various visualization technique
. Worked in agile environment for project implementation
. Effective written and oral communication skills in English
Preferred skills:
. Forecasting background in FMCG domain especially in financial planning
. Econometrics/Macroeconomic model understanding
. Programming - SQL, R or Python
. Advanced Excel, Macros
