A Consultant must be a proven self-starter with the ability to problem-solve, communicate, participate in diverse project teams from a technical perspective, and interface effectively with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues. Establish & maintain productive and respectful relationships with the delivery team, practice management, and client management team.
You will actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives. Deliver timely engagements and works closely with Practice Directors to drive training and education, career development, performance development, and collaboration across the team.

Essential Functions of the Job:
    • Work with clients and project teams to assess, design, implement and enhance deployments across major cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud etc.)
    • Deliver expertise and best practices for cloud platform deployments (e.g. green field blueprints, migration paths, optimization, best practices), as well as other 3rd party related technologies, and the well-architected framework
    • Support delivery of consulting engagements with clients large and small, across every industry
    • Design complex architectures and oversee their deployment
    • Expertise with build tools to assist with the automation of large deployments (Terraform, ARM).
    • Assist customers across a broad range of cloud platform-specific topics, providing best practices and guidance for customers deployments
    • Create professional client deliverables to clearly present recommendations and strategies using compelling formats including dashboards, presentations, and documentation
    • Continuous learning and upskilling on relevant technology products and methodologies, leveraging training resources provided
    • Support with practice and business development activities such as interviews, training, IP development, and scoping for client engagements
    • Independently deliver high-quality work and act as point of contact for complex projects
    • Acts as technical escalation point to assist other consultants.
    • Excellent team communicator.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks participating in professional associations such as ISSA.
    • Consistently complete administrative project tasks like time and expense entry, status reporting, and project completion reporting.
    • Acts as contributor in Optiv communities for solutions of focus

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
    • 5-7 years of hands-on cloud platform experience across various services
    • Ability to design and interpret complex architectural designs that include 3rd party tools in both green field and brown field scenarios
    • Understanding of platform-native identity solutions (e.g., Azure AD, AWS IAM) and RBAC model
    • Demonstrated experience with compliance and organization policy definition using native tools (e.g. Azure Policies and PowerShell)
    • Demonstrated experience creating 3 tier architecture with security best practices applied
    • Understanding of malware analysis, threat intelligence, threat vectors across cloud platform services, using native or 3rd party tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, AWS GuardDuty, GCP Security Command Center) and integration into native as well as 3rd party SIEMs
    • Understanding of DevSecOps, DevOps, SOAR, and SIEM
    • Understanding of common penetration techniques
    • Prefer candidates possessing experience with on-premises Active Directory
    • Experience with KQL
    • The candidate must hold or be willing to pursue related professional certifications, (e.g., AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
    • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues affecting clients related to privacy and data protection on the cloud, such as PCI DSS, EU Data Protection Directive, U.S. State Data Privacy Laws, HIPAA
    • Expert knowledge of using Microsoft Office
    • Ability to build relationships with and influence other functional areas
    • Solid business acumen and basic project management expertise
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel
