Job Description

Who we are looking for:
The candidate will play a key role in ETL & Database Testing along with creation and maintenance of automated test scripts for a host of financial applications. We are looking for someone who is capable of understanding and learning automation of complex financial applications. This role will be responsible for maintaining an automated acceptance testing cycle that is common in an Agile process. The candidate will also create Manual Test Cases and perform Test execution when required.
What you will be responsible for
1.Create test scenarios and implement automated functional test cases that will serve as acceptance test criteria for enhancements and new applications.
2.Work closely with developers and quality assurance members to run test suites and research errors.
3.Work with the support group to reproduce production problems and identify gaps in the regression test suite.
4.Work with developers to utilize and extend custom test harnesses for applications.
5.Find ways to enhance the testing process with new tools, strategies or techniques.
6.Maintain and enhance the automation framework.
7.Maintain and enhance Automated Regression Suite regularly.

Must have skill:
1.Hand on Experience in functional testing of ETL/DB testing and having good understanding of Data models, ETL Architecture.
2.Core Java knowledge. This should include java collections, IO, NIO, calendar-date-time manipulation, etc.
3.Junit and/or TestNg testing framework knowledge.
4.SQL relational database Knowledge. Able to write and execute complex join of 5 or more tables. Knowledge of DML command such as SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, COUNT, GROUP BY, HAVING, etc. and DDL commands for test data schema creation.
5.Working JDBC knowledge.
6.Working knowledge of Unix and basic commands ability to parse application logs for error messages.
7.Understanding of Source Code Control such as GIT, Subversion, etc.
8.Team oriented attitude will need to participate in code reviews and framework enhancements.
9.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
10.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good to have skill:
1.Selenium Java knowledge. Ability to quickly create Page Obect Models with various Locators and write multi-screen workflows.
2.Java Spring or any other Dependency Injection Framework.
3.Java 8 version language concepts such as Streams, Date-Time APIs, etc.
4.Experience with Oracle Application Test Suite tools such as OpenScript.
5.Oracle Java certification
6.Knowledge of database stored procedures execution and creation.
7.Knowledge of Programming Design Patterns and design patterns related to automated testing.
8.Knowledge of XML, HTML, JavaScript and scripting languages.
9.Ability to quickly troubleshoot and diagnose issues within the quality assurance environment and communicate that knowledge to a varied audience of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
10.ISTQB Certification.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
.Bachelor's or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
