We are looking for a Salesforce Engineer II (COVEO) to join our IT Applications team in Bangalore, reporting to Manager - Service Cloud, you will work closely with the Customer Support organization to support existing and new business processes and system functionality. You will be expected to develop code, analyze problems, provide RCA, participate in detailed design discussions with the various teams for new initiatives, issue resolution, and long-term planning. You will also implement repeatable and scalable business processes based on best practices in collaboration with all functional stakeholders while maintaining an emphasis on the integrity of the systems. Previous hands-on experience in all functional areas will be crucial to success in this role.

What you'll do:
  • Collaborate with the applications team to support changes/enhancements in Salesforce
  • Facilitate and actively participate in all phases of the Support operations
  • Perform production support activities for Salesforce and COVEO implementations
  • Maintain and develop custom programs, reports, forms, and workflows
  • Perform data conversion and provide data validation support during data conversion
  • Support users & business analysts to troubleshoot application issues and develop creative solutions to support business needs

What you'll bring:
  • 5+ years in a Salesforce development role including Apex and Visualforce development
  • Experience in developing, supporting, and involved in deployments with COVEO enterprise search, COVEO CES administration, integrating COVEO with different source types - Salesforce, sitemap, database, and web (external sources)
  • Have experience analyzing and developing search pages that can deliver COVEO usage analytics along with reports, dashboards, and data exports
  • Should ideally have experience with the implementation of Salesforce Service Cloud, leveraging Salesforce knowledge within the COVEO ecosystem
  • Should have worked on implementing & supporting search platform using COVEO for medium/large customers
  • Experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP API, working withversion control tools like GitHub and Bitbucket
  • Must have experience with deployment using change-set/eclipse/ANT migration tool and working on solving deployment errors
  • Proficient in Salesforce administrative tasks like creating profiles, roles, users, page layouts, email alerts, approvals, workflows, reports, dashboards, tasks, and events
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or equivalent IT experience
  • Salesforce Certifications (App Builder, PD I, PD II, Admin) preferred

What success looks like:
  • After six months, you will be able to understand the end-to-end application flow, collaborate with Service, Sales, Operations Team, and Business to provide the required production support, deliver the business requirements, and bring stability to the application.
  • After about a year, you will be focusing on identifying and addressing the root cause of the defects, Proactively addressing some of the issues in application with Automation or Re-use which in turn would take care of re-occurring defects and will give you additional bandwidth to focus on more development activities. Also, will register yourself for some training and certifications in the due course which could help you address application needs and for your career growth as well.
