The FI Relationship Director (RD) is responsible for managing all key bank relationships, defending and growing CB revenues from this segment. The RD is the primary point of contact with all Financial Institutions (FIs) and leverages these relationships for overall CIB opportunities. Key responsibilities include
    • Manage the annual EDD / CDD of banks in high risk category
    • Manage the KYC issues
    • Trigger EDD /KYC/ KYN on Banks / branches/ subsidiaries when offering new products or negative news on Banks like fraud etc.

Existing Nostro/Vostro Management
    • Service Issues in existing Nostros
    • Manage expectations & provide solutions around changing client needs driven by technology/ regulation
    • Defend and grow share of wallet from existing accounts
    • New client acquisition

Limit Management
    • Conduct annual exercise with Credit for limits ask, taking inputs from various stakeholders
    • Co-ordination with various groups ( in India & UK ) to manage limits requirement of business on real-time basis
    • Annual CRMC approval process
    • Manage 'Look-back' / ' Client Returns Forum' process by keeping a real-time tab on Banks income, returns & revenue flow

New Business
  • Work to grow market share of GBP and Euro clearing
  • Build INR clearing mandates by working closely with FI RDs globally
  • Work closely with Banking and Markets colleagues to identify and support closure of opportunities
  • Work with colleagues in coverage and product sales to help close key transactions

Client Relationship
  • Provide support to banking colleagues wherever possible on maintaining relationships for firm ( e.g., SIBOS, IMF, BIF, BAF etc.)
  • Manage key bank relationships and extend support to colleagues in CIB.

What will you be doing
  • Research current & new markets, identify target names, prepare account plan and business strategies for FIG business
  • Focused and robust communication plan to highlight Barclays franchise in India with key internal stakeholders and corridor leads
  • Planning and execution of planned corridor marketing events in high potential corridors with a high return on investment to enhance visibility of our Franchise and to market credible solutions to get access to decision making individual
  • Proactively anticipate, respond and seek to exceed the expectations of customers
  • Identify cross selling opportunities & ensure active follow-up
  • Actively building a channel of communication with key client contacts at a parent level by showcasing Barclays expertise in economic and event based research

What we're looking for:
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of India FI sector
  • In depth business awareness and specific industry/country/International awareness
  • Awareness of legislation affecting the Bank and customers
  • Understanding of impact and implementation of marketing and sponsorship activity
  • Experience of winning new business, being proactive
  • Ability to network effectively both internally and externally and maintain/develop relationships with key figures in the business community.
  • Likely to have previously undertaken a role with customer contact in a similar market place for at least 2 years
  • Jobholder will have a broad understanding of FI business and financial issues and have demonstrable experience that such knowledge has successfully been used in a sales environment

Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Minimum qualification of a Post Graduate or Professional Degree (eg MBA, CA, etc)
  • Experience of working in a regulated (banking & financial services) environment
  • Knowledge of the Corporate Bank's products, services and policies required to undertake the role
