The Amazon Vision Operations Center (AVOC) team is an initiative, which remotely handles exceptions in the Amazon Robotic Fulfillment Centers Globally. AVOC seeks to complement automated vision based decision-making technologies by providing remote human support for the subset of tasks which require higher cognitive ability and cannot be processed through automated decision making with high confidence. This team provides end-to-end solutions through inbuilt competencies of Operations and strong central specialized teams to deliver programs at Amazon scale. It is operating multiple programs including TRON, VBI, Proxemics, and other new initiatives in partnership with global technology and operations teams.

AVOC team is looking for a Quality Program Manager-II.
As a Program Manager on the team, you will analyze and solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities. Your ownership of the scoping and design of new metrics/processes/mechanisms and enhancement of existing ones will help support the future state of quality business processes and ensure sustainability. These deliverables will help ensure that we are focused on what's important, enable clarity and focus, and consistent mechanisms across all the quality teams. This position will support our expansion to other geographies and virtual teams as well.

Responsibilities include:

Facilitates the design and execution of the QA strategy through leadership, operations teams and support teams. Design and introduce new systems, mechanisms and procedures that drive defect identification and reduction

Design QA mechanism for AVOC new programs by coordinating with Training, ACES and Analytics teams. Ensure Quality management across programs and across AVOC sites in Virtual and Brick & Mortal locations

Leads root cause analysis and error trend analysis, and provides focused feedback to AVOC and FC teams. Communicates across all levels on quality operations and programs progress.

Identify, develop, manage, and execute analysis to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape the direction of the quality.

Design processes at six sigma standards for any new programs on-boarded ensuring Quality and SLA metrics are met and controlled

Support towards building a continuous improvement culture in AVOC by taking Lean Six Sigma sessions for managers and associates

Collaborate with all stakeholders across geographies and report the progress of project to senior management and highlight wherever support required.

The ideal candidate actively seeks to understand Amazon's core business values and initiatives, and translates those into everyday practices.


. 3+ years experience in program or project management
. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
. 3+ years experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Bachelor's degree required. Post Graduate from a top tier institution.

3 - 5 years of work experience with at least 3 years of experience working in a similar role

Exposure to data mining tools like SQL,SAS, SPSS, R etc

Deadline driven, team player, with strong customer focus

Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

Well versed with Lean Six Sigma Methodologies

Outstanding Project Management skills

Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on issues

Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions. Strong analytical, mediation and problem resolution skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel


. Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics or statistics
. Skilled in advanced MS Excel
. Green Belt/ Black Belt Preferred
. Data mining experience via SQL DB queries or similar programs
. Statistical analysis experience using a statistical software package, such as Minitab
