Job Description

Quality Engineer
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The main objective is to manage the shop Floor inspection and controlling activities in order to ensure the deliveries from the Site are at the right quality level.

CBS Fabrication Inspection
Welding Inspection
Painting Inspection
NCR management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In- process Inspection of Fabrication items of Sub-assemblies, Main Assemblies & Final Products
Preparing Inspection Reports & ISO documentation.
Tracking & maintaining quality related documents.
Root Cause analysis and measures to eliminate issues.
Carrying out various tests like NDT Testing, DP Testing, Visual testing
Manage the shop floor inspection activities on daily basis.
Manage the NCR function of department and maintain the KPI set by management.
Knowledge of WPS, PQR & WQR. Detailed knowledge of welding defects its causes and effects.
Knowledge of different types of material and welding consumables.
Ensure product identification & traceability throughout the process.
Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) & Control Plan
Knowledge of different Standards like EN & ASME
Take corrective and preventive actions against non-conformities and deviations.
Ensure safety standards and norms are maintained at the shop floor.
PAINT SHOP :

In- process Inspection of shot blasting & Painting items
Preparing Inspection Reports & ISO documentation.
Tracking & maintaining quality related documents.
Root Cause analysis and measures to eliminate issues.
Manage the NCR function of department and maintain the KPI set by management.
Knowledge of different process of painting
Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) & Control Plan
Take corrective and preventive actions against non-conformities and deviations.
Final painting inspection

Qualifications & Skills:

NDT level-II in VT, PT , NACE L-1 ( Optional )in painting
Hands on experience of measuring tools, Fit-up inspection, welding inspection & Visual Inspection, Shot blasting & Painting Inspection
Work Station Audit, Process and Product Audit

EDUCATION

BE Mechanical

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

Min 5 years of experience in Fabrication & Painting Quality
Preparation of WPS,PQR and Welder Qualification document
Conduct Painting operator and shot blasting operator qualification
Experience in Working on SAP/ ERP system
Experience in managing Quality tools and problem solving tools.

EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

- Hands on experience on Visual and Penetrant Inspection
- Experience on problem Solving tools Like 8D

Language Skills: Proficient in English language, Hindi
IT Skills: MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
SAP
