GENERAL SUMMARYJob Overview
Qualcomm’s Corporate Engineering team is looking for an experienced digital hardware engineer who will be part of a cross functional team to develop cutting edge products for internal Qualcomm and external customers. The candidate is expected to lead complex projects, provide technical leadership and manage other hardware designers while working closely with customers on covering their electrical design needs. Expected to play an active role on monthly department management meetings on staffing needs, project activities and cross-functional engagement with other groups. The candidate will interface with internal staff and outside partners to identify, enable multi-disciplined projects in the fast-paced execution environment.
The candidate is expected to have full proficiency on digital high speed design with multiple years of experience across all stages of electrical design from requirements, HW system architecture design, electrical design analysis, simulation, schematic capture, PCB design layout, working with internal and external teams for design collaboration and fabrication, lab bring up, test and debug and design documentation areas.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in circuit card level design and test, enjoy working in a lab environment, be proactive, and have a hands-on approach to work assignments. Candidates must have great interest in new technologies and willing to learn.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, and the candidate must be able to work well with others in a technical environment.  Frequent interfacing with team members in US will be required.  The candidate must be able to travel abroad. The ability to work independently and strong problem-solving skills are expected.
Minimum Qualifications
B.E/B.Tech. with industry experience in the following areas:
10+ years hardware design experience, preferably with baseband processors, FPGAs, high speed 
8+ years of experience in digital hardware high speed design.
Solid understanding of electrical engineering and circuit fundamentals.
Strong knowledge of digital design.
Able to work independently.
Strong lab skills and experience with standard lab equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
12+ years of experience in hardware design role
Strong knowledge of both digital and analog design
Knowledge of transmission lines, cross talk, decoupling, and layout of high-performance digital circuits.
Design experience with some or all of the following:
Analog/RF hardware design
Video and audio experience
FPGA and CPLD
DSPs
Microprocessors
Flash/DDR memory
LCD's
Battery charging
Voltage regulators
Camera sensors
ADC/DACs
Embedded programming skills
RTL programming
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Excellent communications skills, oral and written.
Education requirements:
Required: B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering / Electronics and Communication or equivalent. Preferred: Masters
