The Role Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is familiar with project governance and controls across project delivery life cycle. He/she is &ldquocritical thinker&rdquo, actively demonstrating their analytical skills, ingenuity, initiative and sound judgment when it comes to supporting the Program Managers in all aspects of the project delivery. They will be well organised with a structured approach to problem solving, organising and communicating to stakeholders.
Strategy

  • Act as the conduit between the programmes, technology teams, portfolio and CIO contacts

  • Ensure that the Portfolio&rsquos book of work is communicated to and well understood by key stakeholders

  • Propose control improvements, enhancements and simplifications where appropriate to improve the speed of decision making and reduce the effort needed to facilitate decision making on backlogs across the portfolio.


Business

  • Develop and maintain JIRA dashboard for portfolio wide to provide insight and manage coordinated JIRA change impacts across the portfolio

  • Provide transparency around backlog prioritization progress, inter-dependencies and potential risks and issues for committed work

  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data preparing reports making presentations of findings and analysis and make recommendations

  • Produce portfolio reporting on the backlog status as supporting materials for the regular MPR / QPR forum

  • Always have a curious mindset to understand the why behind the backlog decisions, understanding business and initiative context.


Processes

  • Ensure JIRA backlog is updated on a regular basis by Tribe Lead, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Project Managers, review content periodically and alert to data quality issues driven to closure

  • Act as conduit amongst Product Owners / Tribe Lead / Scrum Masters and Project Managers with the PMO, Technology Finance and the Governance & Business Management teams on all aspects of backlog governance and administration

  • Collaborate with transformation teams and coaches, improve the processes to ensure maximum effectiveness for all parties involved with alignment to NWOW


People and Talent

  • Lead project teams to achieve the desired business outcomes. Use influence and indirect leadership to bring teams together to deliver, remove any impediments, and drive a collaborative culture.

  • Review capacity allocation, including prioritisation and capacity management in aXess with alignment to JIRA backlog


Risk Management

  • Active monitoring of the risks / issues raised for the initiatives under the Book of Work and ensure proper mitigation actions are in place and tracked to closure.


Governance

  • Provide effective support to the Program Managers including team and stakeholder liaison, representation at meetings, coordination of portfolio activities

  • Provide effective reporting and governance for JIRA backlog as required for stakeholder requirements, audit/regulatory requirements and portfolio reporting

  • Ensure appropriate oversight and facilitate resolution of high impact risk and issues, with regular reports to management and key stakeholders as required.

  • Ensure that all submissions to committees and working groups are of the right quality and are timely

  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure enablement deliverables are completed on time and within scope.

  • Assess the effectiveness of Cash Technology arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Certifications/accreditations: Scrum Master, Product Owner, PMP, CAPM, Prince 2 or other industry recognised project management qualifications are desired but not mandatorye.g. structure, governance, controls, scheduling, resource management, issue & risk management, reporting, stakeholder management, assumption and dependency management and financial control
