We are looking for a Principal Solutions Architect in the Data and Analytics domain to join our AWS team in India. You will be solving the most complex and large-scale data challenges for ISVs and help them create new solutions to explore their data. As a qualified candidate, you will:
· Have a deep understanding of data, analytics, batch processing, stream processing, and business intelligence technology landscape.
· Have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, process, and technical challenges, as well as build and convey compelling business cases and value propositions.
· Be an Architect. As part of Solutions Architecture team, you produce and validate reference architectures and help customers adopt AWS Analytics services including, Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, Amazon Data Lake, and Amazon QuickSight.
· Partner with Sales Account Managers, Business Development Representatives, and the AWS Service teams to enable customer adoption and revenue attainment.
· Have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building analytics solutions for some of the world's fastest growing ISVs.
Develop white papers, blogs, sample dashboards, labs, and presentations to evangelize BI design patterns and best practices. You will also mentor and train the broader SA population within AWS, teaching them how to integrate Amazon Analytics Solutions with customer use cases and requirements.
· Have hands-on experience using AWS services as a desired expectation, though not mandatory, provided you have experience building solutions that run in virtualized environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
· As a key member of the solution architecture team, ensure success in building and migrating software applications, and platforms on to AWS
· Partner with the account management team, formulate and execute a strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
· Educate customers of all s on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful operations in the cloud
· Exhibiting thought leadership. Evangelize AWS Services and Analytics Solutions in the Data and Analytics domain. Share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking events such as AWS Summit and AWS re:Invent
· Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
· Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support
· This role will require significant domestic travel
· The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess 15+ years of relevant solution architecture (implementation/consulting) experience
· Significant hands-on product development, implementation or consulting experience with software development/product engineering processes, concepts, and tools
· Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures.
· Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services around analytics solutions preferred.
· Demonstrated industry leadership in the fields of Big Data processing, Databases, Data Warehousing, and Data Science.
· Deep understanding of data, application, server, and network security
· Experience with Statistics, Machine Learning and Predictive Modelling
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
· Handled several large projects (end to end) themselves as a lead Architect.
· Bachelors/Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, IT or equivalent technical degree
