We are looking for a Senior level DBA in India with strong technical and analytical skills. You will work with the DBAs across the world to provide the DBA support for Oracle Fusion Applications development. The requirement will be based out of Hyderabad or Bangalore. The team works in a very cohesive environments and expects the candidate to be a team player and support the team while working on complex projects / Critical Debug efforts. Job Responsibilities

  •     To be the technical lead and debug various environments issues independently. Needs to lead some projects as well and act as a mentor to the team members

  •     Install, Configure, Patch and Support Fusion Applications, Databases and Fusion Middleware stacks on different releases most of the times much ahead of the products released to Customers

  •     Perform day-to-day Database Administration and ensure integrity, security and availability of applications environments

  •     Work with the team members across various time zones to ensure a smooth task handover across different regions

  •     Develop scripts to automate functions, processes and monitor database performance

  •     Experience of performing database management including: Monitoring, Backup, Data Recovery, Performance Tuning


Job Qualifications

  •     BE/MCA any computer science related major

  •     At least 7+ years of experience as Oracle Database Administrator

  •     Strong communication and coordination skills

  •     Strong ability to work well under pressure on multiple projects independently

  •     Strong Oracle Apps DBA or Fusion DBA skills

  •     Strong Core Oracle Database knowledge (11g/12c) including RAC

  •     Strong SQL, PL/SQL and shell /Perl scripting skills

  •     Knowledge on Oracle Fusion Middleware (e.g. WebLogic)

  •     Knowledge on Enterprise Manager


Skill or experience in any of the following is an added bonus

  •     Understanding of Linux and Oracle Virtual Machine

  •     Python / Ruby

  •     Java

  •     Exadata

  •     Oracle Apex (Application Express)

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Work with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity.
As a Senior Database Administrator, you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning implementation of new versions of Oracle database and database tools. May act as a team lead during database implementations and for system operation and maintenance.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM*s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Success at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is greatly preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. BS or equivalent desired.
