About the team

What you will be doing
You will be responsible for the design, development, execution and analysis of platform performance as well as resolving issues across NAP. Ensuring that performance requirements are met by working as part of an agile delivery team on tuning/engineering the application and database. You\u2019ll also define any additional requirements to facilitate performance testing (e.g. data, environment and monitoring requirements) whilst providing relevant support to ensure the requirements can be met. Driving performance engineering as an integral part of software delivery using automated performance solutions to reduce overall timelines and improve software early in the lifecycle.
  • Design, execution and analysis of performance across one or more components of NAP.
  • Engineering performance tuning and optimisations of the systems tested alongside development colleagues.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements and ongoing changes in requirements are fully met
  • Collaboration with the support and development teams to ensure swift resolution to performance issues affecting production

What you bring:
  • Performance Tuning of application code down to the database level on multiple technologies such as Java, Oracle, ETL and reporting tools
  • Performance Test execution and analysis using tools such as NeoLoad, LoadRunner/Performance Center,Unix/Shell scripts or jMeter.
  • Experience of cloud hosted applications such as AWS.
  • Experience of Automated Performance testing techniques and tools.
  • Performance integration within in a continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Data analysis, data validation and data verification skills that withstand robust challenge within a high performing team
  • Proficiency in diagnosing performance issues across application tiers

Added bonus if you have:
  • Working experience of Payments (Non-Card) Processing, Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement, Automated Clearing House, Immediate / Urgent / Faster Payments
  • PL/SQL test experience of all types of SQL modules like packages, procedures, functions and other database objects
  • Experience of SAFe Delivery
  • Experience of testing and tuning Apache Spark/Kafka applications
  • Experience of performance testing batch systems.
  • Understanding of Event Driven Design.
