The Process Architect / Analyst / Transformation Lead is a role within the Process Transformation Team, which is responsible for supporting Risk, Finance and Treasury functions across the Barclays Group to deliver a simplified process, control, data, systems architectures and Target operating model.
The Transformation strategy follows a process led approach, whereby the Barclays data and systems architecture facilitates the implementation of processes and controls through standardisation and automation.
The Process Transformation Team work closely with subject matter experts across Risk, Finance and Treasury, Data Lineage, Technology Architects and Programme Managers to address process, data and application challenges in designing an overarching target operating model.
On a day-to-day basis, the Process Transformation team undertake analysis of current and future state business processes to identify optimisation opportunities as part of the operating model design. The team also embed a common language across the bank in development of an overarching ‘Enterprise process taxonomy as well as advisory and oversight change activities to agree a permit a build through the Data Architecture Council.
What will you be doing
. Translate Line / business information by subject matter experts in Risk, Finance and Treasury to capture problem statements
. Document process optimisation analysis required in order to satisfy the business objective and create potential linkages to the portfolio of Risk, Finance and Treasury change initiatives
. Prioritise work stream requests with business functions and present proposals for resource allocation
. Base line delivery plans to build process maps and align data lineage and technology architecture designs to create target operating models
. Identify business processes inefficiencies that delay the target end state
. Ensure the process design document is representative of how front to back system architecture operates, is in line with Regulatory commitments, cost challenges, client engagement, commercial business decisions and audit/control issues
. Act and ‘connectors and ‘influencers in building relationships with external stakeholders to continuously enhance the day-to-day operating model for change delivery
What we're looking for:
. Line experience in an Investment bank within a Risk, Finance or Treasury function
. Relevant programme experience would be any type of large scale transformation, e.g. structural reform, IFRS 9, Basel II-IV, LIBOR.
. F2B Business Process analysis experience e.g. (Risk - credit /market, Finance -Product Control / Finance Control and Treasury - liquidity / funding management)
. Knowledge of Project Lifecycle methods (e.g. Software Development Lifecycle, Agile) and understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management
Skills that will help you in the role:
. Business Analysis Qualification or equivalent
. Lean six sigma or data management experience (SAS, SQL, Python, Alteryx, Qlik)
