When building software, we will be going through many stages from initial requirements to go live, it&rsquos important to ensure that everything works according to specification.
That&rsquos why we&rsquore looking for a quality assurance engineer to help us maintain our high level of quality.
QA tester will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they&rsquore dealt with
Are you the one we are looking for
Responsibilities:
We seek for resources with experience in MicrofocusALM Site admin activities.

  • Setting up HP ALM Servers in both on premises and Cloud (SAAS) environments.

  • Migrate/upgrade QC/ALM Projects from one instance to another, for ex. 11.x to 12.x or from 12.x to 15.x

  • working on Unix/Linux Environment in his ALM Administration Activities.

  • Working experience as ALM Administrator in any of the Quality Center/ALM Instances 10.0, 11.x, 12.2x or 15.x versions.

  • Installation of QC, ALM (Server & Client) and its associated Licenses on both Windows and Linux Environments.

  • working experience in Quality Center 10.x, 11.x, 12.x versions or above.

  • Create scripts in QC/ALM to automate some of the Site Admin Activities such as Adding New Users to Group, remove users from Group and assign a group etc. using OTA

  • Create Customized reports on all modules of QC/ALM using OTA.

  • Implement Workflow customization in project level and Template level.

  • Implement Project planning and tracking to all ALM projects after Migration.

  • Monthly Maintenance activities like Patch installations, Hot Fixes, Daily Backups (both file and Data base), and Disk space Management.

  • Implementation of LDAP authentication.

  • Working with external clients & helping them on QC/ALM Integration/Migration and Admin related works.

  • Working on Linux server to start/ stop the QC nodes for planned downtime, QC file system details (Size).

  • Working with users/clients to understand the requirement details to implement using VBScript for complicated or important project customizations or enhancements.

  • Write SQL Queries for excel Reports and writing a Test Case Steps for upgrade and migrate of projects and also writing an OQPQ (Operational and Performance Qualification) document. (Test Script)

  • Able to resolve all technical queries and technical issues related to QA testing.

  • Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs and present technical ideas for review & consideration.

  • Work closely with peers and engage with a global, fast paced technical design and development team to deliver tasks to meet product release goals.

  • Finish the planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines


Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications:
B.tech in any relevant branch
Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor&rsquos degree in Electronics and communication or relevant field

  • Should have worked on Unix/Linux Environment in his ALM Administration Activities.

  • Should have good knowledge on Oracle DB and should be able execute SQL Queries on own.

  • Should have proficient knowledge on QC/ALM Architecture.

  • Should have working experience in Quality Center 10.x, 11.x, 12.x versions or above.

  • Good understanding about QC Open test architecture, site admin API reference and Quality Center Data Base

  • Good understanding about QC database structure, Knowledge on Oracle and SQL, QC tables, views and Database schema

  • Ability to learn new technologies and challenging concepts quickly and implement them and be Flexible & versatile to adapt to any new environment and work on any project.

  • Holding any Certifications is an added advantage!

  • Able to work under minimal supervision and be self-directed.

  • Able to work with distributed team members including time zone flexibility

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

  • Willingness to work in a challenging and dynamic environment
