Inviting applications for the role of Manager, IT Capacity & Availability Management
In this role, you should possess good relationship management skills with colleagues, seniors & leads
Your role requires decent verbal and written communication capabilities
You will need problem-solving skills and the ability to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts to solve
You should be an Individual contributor and a team player
You should possess good hold in reporting logics for KPI's / process metric from Configuration Management perspective with a good hand in MS Excel based reporting & Power Point
You need to have an Exposure to Service Modelling CMDB framework & should be well versed with working on ITSM ticketing platform (Remedy / Service Now etc.)
Responsibilities
. Train the IT staff in adopting formal Capacity & Availability Management practices.
. Ensures that there is sufficient capacity to meet service level targets
. Keeps IT management informed about capacity needs
. Provides capacity requirements for new or modified IT services
. Maintains an overall understanding of current service capacity and trends
. Ensures that performance testing is carried out on new and modified IT services
. Works to proactively provide sufficient IT capacity
. Produces and maintains a Capacity Plan
. Ensures that capacity-related incidents and problems are addressed
. Ensures the creation, maintenance, and use of a Capacity Management Information System (CMIS)
. Assesses the capacity impact of new change requests
. Participates on the Change Advisory Board (CAB) as needed
. Is responsible for monitoring IT capacity levels, comparing actual levels against targets, and addressing shortfalls
. Carries out the Process Manager responsibilities for the Capacity Management process
. Report of achievement of targets and identify any actions required
. Contributes to the availability management process and its operation and performs defined availability management tasks.
. Analysis's service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and serviceability.
. Ensures that services and components meet and continue to meet all agreed performance targets and service levels.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Computer Science / equivalent with 3-4 years of work experience
. Awareness / exposure of holistic level IT Infrastructure setup
. Experience in core IT Service Management (Incident / Change / Problem Mgmt.)
Preferred qualifications
. Tech Certifications like MCSE/CCNA would be an added advantage . ITIL v3 / v4 Foundation certified
