The Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • Awareness and understanding of the Group&rsquos business strategy and model appropriate to Tax CoE.


Business

  • Awareness and understanding of the Tax business in which the Group Tax team operates and business analysist role.


Processes

  • Responsible for executing and supervising the Tax Change process.

  • Understanding the Tax processes, applications and Change process

  • Responsible for collecting requirements, analysing, preparing BRD and walk through the requirements to Technology team for development

  • Preparing Test cases and performing functional testing

  • Co-ordinate / perform UAT

  • Ability to collect data from various sources (like extracts from other systems, system generated files, SQL queries etc), analysing the data and identify the impact or solution.

  • Ability to identify data quality issues and initiating remediation for the issues.

  • Ability to reconcile two or more applications to check for system handshake issues.

  • Creating DOI for new process and modifying the existing DOI for any new change in the process

  • Conducting training for new joiner and other team members

  • Conducting stand up meeting and providing weekly / monthly MI as warrant by the project

  • Knowledge on raising and tracking incidence tickets for production issues

  • Managing BAU hand off for the project

  • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project development models

  • Comply with project documentation requirements (like BRD, FSD and project closure report etc) as and when required.

  • Escalating risks and challenges in the process appropriately.

  • Creating backup for the process


People and Talent

  • Graduate / Postgraduate / Professional degree with 8+ years of relevant finance experience in project / business analysist role.

  • Good Excel & PowerPoint skills

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Preferable CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)


Risk Management

  • Identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Project. Ability to interpret the Bank&rsquos reporting requirements, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures


Governance

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group&rsquos arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas Awareness and understanding of the PMO&rsquos framework, in which the Tax CoE operates and expectations relevant to the role.


Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group&rsquos Values and Code of Conduct.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Preferable CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)

  • Graduate / Postgraduate / Professional degree with 6+ years of relevant finance experience in FP&A.
